Address on Expedia was not correct. Had to walk 3 blocks away with all of my stuff. No staff working when I got there. Could not locate a common area. Glad I got in late and left very early

Convenient spot, poor security
I thought I had booked a hostel with a central location in Krakow, but it felt more like a shelter for homeless alcoholics.
Just outside the Old Town, about a 10-minute walk to the center, right next to a bigger train station and with easy access to trams and buses across the city. On paper, that’s a good starting point, but that’s also where the positives end.
The beds in the dorm were actually fine, and the bathrooms were generally okay, although one shower was broken and sprayed water in all directions.
The real problem was safety. On the first day, a visibly drunk man without the door code suddenly appeared in our room. He was thrown out, and I assumed it was a one-off incident. The next day he came back, and this time with both the code to the room and the front door of the hostel itself.
He was drunk, unkempt, and simply stumbled in as if he belonged there. Even worse, the staff did nothing to remove him or address the situation, which made the whole place feel completely unsafe. The day after, yet another drunk homeless man had access to the hostel.
Most of the other guests were fine, and one of them shared my concerns. But after that incident, the atmosphere was ruined. Both the common areas and the rooms didn’t feel comfortable to use either, as some people hanging around seemed less like travelers and more like locals looking for a place to crash.
I cannot recommend anyone else to go there, until there is proper control over who has access to the hostel.
