Top neighborhoods in Narita

Hanazakicho

Hanazakicho combines convenience with a taste of authentic Japanese suburban life. Travellers can explore nearby Naritasan Shinshoji Temple or browse the shops along Narita Omotesando. When you're ready for more, Aeon Mall Narita offers modern shopping just a short trip away. Hotels here cater perfectly to early flights with airport shuttles and competitive rates compared to Tokyo. Getting around is easy with both Keisei Narita Station and Narita Station nearby. The area balances transit-friendly features with quiet residential streets where you can glimpse everyday Japanese life.

Kamicho

Kamicho's ancient stone pathways lead to the magnificent Naritasan Shinshoji Temple complex, where vermillion pagodas and ornate halls create a spiritual wonderland. Incense drifts through prayer halls while traditional shops along Omotesando Street display Buddhist artifacts and local crafts. This religious centre blends active worship with respectful tourism, offering a genuine glimpse of Japanese heritage. Temple cuisine restaurants serve vegetarian shojin ryori in peaceful settings, perfect for refueling after exploring the extensive gardens. Ryokan inns and modern hotels accommodate all preferences, with easy connections to Tokyo via JR and Keisei rail lines just 45 minutes away.

Family-run eateries serve simple Japanese comfort food at area prices, though most close early evening. Budget-friendly guesthouses offer clean, comfortable stays with personal host interactions. A rental car provides the best flexibility since public transportation is limited, but the quiet streets make for pleasant walking too.

Kinone

Kinone gives you a quiet taste of real Japanese suburban life, just a stone's throw from the bustling airport. Catch cherry blossoms at Sakura-no-Yama Hill where locals picnic under pink blooms while planes soar overhead. Hotel Mystays Premier Narita

Hotel Mystays Premier Narita

10/10 Excellent
"This was our second stay at MyStays, so we would definitely recommend it, especially for the good price point. We were returning to North America after travelling through Southeast Asia and stopped in Narita for two nights. We rented a car and explored some of the surrounding cities, while other family members used the hotel’s very convenient shuttle to visit Narita (which we did on our first stay). They also had lunch at the hotel and enjoyed the buffet. Having a FamilyMart on-site is a lifesaver. We did have to switch rooms because of an odor in the bathroom, but the process was easy and there were no issues with the second room. Overall, a very convenient and comfortable place to stay in Narita, and we would happily stay here again."

Richmond Hotel Narita

Richmond Hotel Narita

8/10 Good
"Richmond Hotel Narita is very conveniently located near Keisei-Narita Station, making it easy to get around. The laundry room was a great amenity and reasonably priced, and the air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated during the summer. The lobby also offers a complimentary coffee machine, umbrellas for guests to use, a currency exchange machine, and shuttle service to the airport, all of which were convenient touches. That said, the room could use a bit of a refresh. The carpet in the entrance area wasn’t very clean, and there was some hair in the bathroom when we arrived. The front desk staff were also hit or miss when it came to acknowledging me and my family. At times they were attentive, but the level of service felt somewhat inconsistent. Our stay was overall pleasant, with a few areas that could use some improvement. Overall, the location and amenities were definite positives. With a little more attention to room cleanliness and consistency in guest service and round trip airport shuttle service, this could be an even better stay."
