Sep 21, 2026Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing and, in my opinion, does not live up to a 5-star standard.
The food quality was poor, and the drinks were equally disappointing. The wine was undrinkable, and the bar staff often struggled to make basic cocktails properly. We also found there was a lot of upselling, which became frustrating.
The room felt dated and in need of an upgrade. The beds were extremely hard, and initially there was a sewage smell in our room, although reception did move us to another room. On another occasion, the tap water initially came out brown. There was only shampoo provided with no body wash, and towels were not consistently replaced every day. The shower pressure was poor and dribbled out.
The all-inclusive offering was also not what we expected. There were no snacks available outside restaurant operating hours, room service required an additional charge plus a delivery fee, and the pool closed at 5pm. We were also told that the full all-inclusive offering only applies to stays of five nights or more, which was disappointing.
Service was mixed. The reception staff were great, friendly and helpful, and the bar staff were generally lovely, especially the gentleman at the pool bar. The waiter at Magic Sky was also fantastic. However, the lobby bar waiters in the evening were poor we often struggled to get anyone's attention and had to walk to the bar ourselves to order drinks.
