I've been staying here on and off for the last 2 years. It's a very convenient place, with Cloud 9 shopping mall, the new Raffles City mall and the Zhongshan Park metro station, all across the street pretty much.
However, problems always pop up. The internet, which is from 2010 China standard (2 Mbps WITHOUT vpn), sometimes drops drastically during periods of heavy usage, i.e. weekend nights. The central heating sometimes stops, or starts spewing cold air, regardless of the thermostat temperature. The worst part is the internal noise. Many (most) Chinese guests feel they are the only people in the building. I regularly have neighbors who stomp their feet when walking and slamming doors, drawers etc. The lack of any insulation between floors makes matters worse. The cleaning girls can sometimes be just as noisy, as they usually behave as if this is an office workplace instead of a hotel.
The pluses though, other than the location, is the excellent hot water pressure in the bathroom and the service attitude of the staff, who respond to issues immediately.
