HOT HOT HOT
VERY small room. Was actually hard to sit on the toilet with the sink being practically on top of it. No AC or fan. VERY hot humid, and no air coming in the windows. Carpet very dirty, but bathroom and bed was clean at least.

Problem after problem
First we stayed in room 404 and the wifi was so weak that most of the time it won't even connect or show up in the list of available networks. And when it did connect, the download speed averaged only 0.87mbps and upload 0.19mbps, so was unusable and I had to use my cellphone roaming data. Spoke to the front desk, and after restarting the router and adding more "surgers??" didn't do anything, we were told the hotel was full and we couldn't change rooms, and the manager claimed that this is standard speed for hotel wifi in Paris!? Finally got to change to room 103 on the third night, and the wifi is a bit faster, but there was no hot water even after trying for more than half an hour, and the staff couldn't figure out what was wrong. Changed room again to room 504, which we were told was an "free upgrade," when it's basically the same room as 404 just in a bit nicer condition. Wifi download speed now averaged 3.14mbps but the upload speed was still 0.48mbps and I could barely use it to backup my photos online. And of course there was something wrong with that room as well--the wall blowdryer didn't work and we weren't given a replacement until the next morning. The manager gave us a small bottle of champagne, a box of Ferrero Rocher, refunded one night of stay, and wrote a personal letter as compensation, but it is simply unacceptable to have multiple problems with the most basic hotel services that should be a given.

Exceptional 10.0
Great little hotel
Great service from an amazing staff. Hotell room was nice and cosy, a spot on 3 star room. Free coffee in the reception between 11-11, must say the elevator/lift has be the smallest lift I have ever been in, but it all is a bit of the charm of Paris. The location is great, not in centre of Paris, but only 3 minutes walk to the Metro and within minutes you are down smack in the middle of Paris. We did walk from the hotel to city centre, a really nice walk although a bit cold due to it being December! haha. The staff really makes this hotel stand out, absolutely amazing. Speaking English, Spanish and German!

Small overnight stay in Paris
Expensive for what it was but big capital cities are getting like that. Very friendly welcome, easy to access from the metro station, quiet and reasonably comfortable. But perhaps the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in with a lift tucked in between the tight circular staircase which was only just big enough for me and a small staircase. If you’re happy with no frills, this will do just fine for a night or so.
