Overall was a good stay! Comfortable beds and bathrooms. However the night attendant had zero customer service skills. It was 1 am and we had been driving all day from our cross country trip from Florida to California and now back home. We simply needed a place to rest our heads at night. We had done this many nights so it has become routine. I even called before 11 pm to let them know we would be arriving after midnight so they could check us in. I rented two rooms for our family of five. I got there and he seemed annoyed from the very start. He didn’t communicate much at all and then handed me one key. I explained I had two rooms in the reservation. I ended up getting the two rooms not adjourned, instead one was on the fourth floor and the other on the second floor. Friendly attendants are a key for success. I will likely rent a room somewhere else in the future.

Scam

Hotels / Hampton Inn obviously running scam. After booking more expensive larger room, only to receive a smaller room for the higher price on check in. Called Hotels.com almost unpublished cust svc, and got no help even though Hotels.com sold the larger room - I got the smaller room at a higher price. Don't use Hotels.com, it's a scam.
