Good place to stay
Very nice experience, very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was good and clean, bathroom included. The onsen on the top floor is great and has a view on Mt Fuji. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops

Great location
Amazing property right beside Lake Kawaguchiko. Walking distance from major areas including the train station, convenience stores and restaurants. Room is a bit dated and the beds could be updated better but overall doable. Service is great. We opted for the breakfast one one of the days and it was an awesome traditional breakfast. I would consider staying here again the next time I'm back.

Lovely traditional 1950s Japanese hotel
Family of 3. Had lake view Japanese style room. Futons were comfy. View was amazing. You have to get the traditional Japanese breakfast. The onsen was clean and quiet. Women’s side can see Mt Fuji on a nice day. Men’s side has lake view. This is a family run, small hotel built in the 1950s. It’s still decorated as such and reminds me of my grandma’s house; so if you are looking for modern updates this is not the place for you. If you like history and traditional then I think you should try it. I would definitely come back again.
Plenty of room for 2 adults and school age child.
Love the personalized cups.
View from our room.

I absolutely loved staying here! Although the building is somewhat dated… the service was exceptional, the beds were so fluffy and comfortable, the showers were hot and strong, and the location was key. The concierge at the front desk spoke great english, and helped us book our train tickets, navigate through the area to find the best eating spots, and booked us an in-room massage. The lakeview was stunning, and the hotel was only a short wall to the Fuji Panoramic Gondola, the Sake Brewery Tour which were highlights of our stay. Also, only a short walk to the Kawaguchico Station which is a central hub for buses headed to the Fuji Subaru 5th station on Mount Fuji, as well as other lakes and regions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The hotel is close to the bridge and park where to take photo of Mount Fuji. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also provide shuttle to and from express bus station. Room is recently renovated and clean. The Japanese style room is fascinating. Highly recommend this hotel.

An older hotel but with impeccable service. Very polite and trying hard to be of service. We chose the breakfast option and were surprised by an authentic Japanese style breakfast. Not what we were expecting but a true authentic experience. Again the service was great, like having a Japanese grandmother making you breakfast. A unique stay.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel: we got a free pick up and drop off to the station, the manager is friendly, there is a billiard table, walking distance to the main area, also, the lake is across the street and we got a Mt Fuji view from our room. However, the hotel is outdated, old furniture, torn carpet, no card room key. Bathroom is good: modern equipments, hot water, good toilet. If you want a quite place far from the main tourist area, this is the place.
