Great place to stay! Easy access to different must-go places. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Except for the breakfast buffet which end at 9:30. When it says 9:30, it means that everyone needs to leave at that time. We were obviously not aware of that and kept working on what’s left in our plates when one man seemed like a manager came with a raised voice saying “Out, out!” Guess that’s the culture difference.

Outdoor onsen is a must-visit. Bathhouse features Sulphur bath, iron bath and sauna. It worths to stay in a suite, huge quiet room facing the mountain with spacious bathroom and wood bath tub. Dinner buffet features wagyu, crabs, shasimi and melon. Breakfast buffet features kaisendon, onsen eggs. Finally, staff are super friendly, always greet and even helped us to move our luggage up the enterance slope. It's a nice relaxing experience.

After considering both Dai-ichi Takimotokan and the Grand Hotel for my stay, I initially leaned towards Dai-ichi for its closer proximity to Jigokudani. However, the room aesthetics didn't quite appeal to me, so I opted for the Grand Hotel instead — and I'm glad I did. The buffet options were diverse and the dining experience was exceptional. I was equally impressed with the room, and both the onsen and service were outstanding. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel for anyone visiting Noboribetsu.

The staff were nice and helpful despite the language barrier. I am very grateful for their kindness. The spacious bath made the price of the largest room worth it. Very convenient how everything is within walking distance. I think more foreigners need to visit this place!

Less than 10 min taxi ride from the JR station. Easy check in and out. Room is Japanese style but clean and has a beautiful view of the mountain. Onsen is large and the outdoor ones are nice. We didn’t do the dinner but signed up for the buffet breakfast. There are several restaurants a short walk away. Went with the front desk recommendation and it was great. The hell valley park is about 10-15 min walk uphilll. There is a free shuttle that go around the onset street and the park. Took off one star only because there was absolutely no communication from the hotel before arrival. I emailed 3 times before I left for the trip to confirm the reservation and received no reply. I had to ask the staff from my first hotel to call to confirm. Even that it took a day because the hotel phone line was closed after certain hours. Every other hotels I booked on my 2 weeks trip by Expedia either confirm my reservation when I emailed or reached out to me themselves way before my arrival.

A very good hotel
Hotel was very good overall. The hot baths were exceptional. There was a lack of restaurants in use for such a high quality hotel and the one in use had a very limited menu. The breakfast buffet was extensive but not always to our taste. Bed very comfortable.

Very nice hotel with a good hot springs facility on the second floor. I chose the traditional Japanese room and that was spacious and very nice. Quiet area and the hotel was quiet as well. The hotel could benefit from a facelift, but all in all it was good

The hotel is at the beginning of the town. It is across from the bus terminal to get to the station or Date Jidaimura. It's actually a 5 min walk to a 7-11 but can't tell from there. The workers will always willing to help with calling cabs. Compassionate when I had my 10 yr old daughter and they let me add her to my reservation for around 5000 yen with my 12 yr old son and did NOT charge us 17000 yen like a nearby hotel did. Enjoyed the onsen. Iron, salt, sulfur, etc baths. I love the outside one.

Nice and big hotel that is great for tourists. Very walkable to Hell Valley yet far enough to not smell the sulfur. We had our own private onsen tub in the room, and the public one was nice as well. Amazing breakfast buffet selection, I highly recommend to include that in your booking.

The Hotel is incredible. It's one of the best spa experiences I've had. You do have to strip down nude and if that is not something you are comfortable with, do not go for the spa experience. However, you can book a room with a bathtub that is big enough for two. I will say I was dissapointed with the dinner and breakfast at the Hotel and there aren't really any restaurants out that way. If you are only staying one night, I would bring food rather than pay a lot of money for a mediocre dinner. That being said it was one of the best things I did in Hokkaido. If I travel to Japan again, I will definitely go back for at least 2 nights.
