This was out second stay at Smithfield Inn. It is a beautiful inn. The staff was very nice & hospitable. The first time we stayed we ate breakfast in the inn dining room which was much better than the bakery/cafe where your abreast now.

It was a phenomenal experience in a beautiful setting, quaint and charming town, with an exceptionally friendly owner and staff! The shops are really nice and the location is close to other areas of interest. Highly recommend!

We had booked and paid for a king sized bed and were given a queen sized bedroom. We were desperate for sleep and we can only sleep well in a king. It wasn’t a casual request, it was a necessity.
We did arrive late evening and were texted a code for the door. We never had any human contact so there was no recourse to be had.
My suggestion is that you phone ahead to confirm your room choice before arriving.
Also note that you do NOT have a choice as to where you have breakfast. You will be given a small coupon for the bakery several blocks away.

Very personable clean private quiet. And the price was great. Variety of anything on the main drag Ice cream Breakfast etc. Had a Bar Dinner hour. It was great. And hade Fine dining atmosphere.. enjoyed my experience

The staff here is fantastic! I love the history that is acquainted with the the Smithfield Inn. Although it is a very old establishment, my room was clean and had all the modern amenities other hotels have.
One of the special features is they have an agreement with the Smithfield Gourmet Bakery. You receive a voucher for up to a $12 value for a HOMEMADE breakfast of your choice!
Smithfield is a very charming, safe, walkable town with many shops, restaurants and sites to see. I have family who recently moved here and the Smithfield Inn is where I'll be staying when visiting.

No check in, had to call get our reservation, had to accept another person’s cancellation room which Queen bedroom when suppose be a suit with a king size bed. Free breakfast down the street was a positive.
