Not a do again.
The hotel is beautiful but I’m not sure I would stay again. The music played in the lounge/bar was horrible not in keeping with the hotel clientele, obviously for the benefit of the staff.
The food selection is limited and the quality poor, my evening meal and hot breakfast were dry with little taste.
The distance into Salcombe requires transportation and the hotel shuttle only has four seats so you are very lucky if you can get the time you want.
I’m not sure why there’s an aversion to Cabernet Sauvignon but the wine by the glass is not for a wine drinker.
I asked that the discretionary service charge be removed from my final bill. Gratuity is earned and not in my opinion a subsidy to the hotel coffers.
Although the hotel is only a few years old it’s not getting the TLC it needs, as an example the curtains in our room are already in need of attention.
