Building and rooms were cold. 3 floors of non working soda machines. Amenities all closed. Water connected backwards in bathroom sink. Breakfast juices really tasted off. One kind if muffins, at 8 a.m.

Bare minimum hotel
Pool, workout room and pool table are not in service as advertised. Rooms were clean but the rest of the hotel was ruff. Multi colored paint patched hallway. Elevator dirty. Breakfast was a waffle maker… a dry cereal.. and white bread wrapped in plastic wrap. If you just need a place to sleep it is fine… not a family getaway type place… i have paid less for more.

After reading some of these petty reviews it proves to me that people will complain about anything. If you believe you should be treated like royalty then spend your money like royalty and stay at a Hilton for $200.00 a night. I travel all over the country and stayed at this motel for several weeks on two different occasions, had zero issues, and would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Richmond. I stayed at two other motels close to the same rate before finding this one and it was by FAR the best. If you’re on a budget and looking for a place to stay in Richmond, don’t waste your time with the other motels with the similar rates.

There was no power at the hotel. We were not allowed to check in. The hotel told us to call Expedia to get our refund. I called Expedia and the agent would not give me a refund. Worst experience with your company. All I wanted was my refund because the hotel I booked had no power and would not let me and my child check in. We have stayed at this particular hotel before and had a good experience, however, last night was so different. The building lost power shortly after arriving due to a storm. We opted to wait a while to see if it would be restored and went on to dinner. Upon returning back, we were told there was no power on this side of the highway for a large section of businesses and that the hotel was at the mercy of the power company as to when it would be repaired. Thinking it might be just a couple of hours, we stayed. At 11:30, my husband left the building to go to the car and found this hotel was the only one without electricity. He quickly made arrangements at the next place down the street and we left. As we asked about any kind of restitution, we were met with a shrug and a comment that we would have to contact the manager, who we found out was the clerk’s mother. This property was completely unprepared for a power outage…no backup generators or other offers. Needless to say, that was our last stay.

I guess it was a ok stay, the pictures make it look way different and fancier then what it is, but overall it was ok. Comfortable beds, no smell on the rooms and bathrooms cleans.

The employee on check-in had zero personality. That started the whole experience. Bottle waters a dollar you don't get a complementary one with your room. That's OK. It was cheap. I get it. I would certainly not recommend Coffee or breakfast buffet if you call it that

We have stayed here multiple times in 5 years and this visit was probably the most disappointing. I think the previous owners sold the property. Broken door handle, two towels in the bathroom, and the room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. When we asked for extra towels, we were told house keeping would bring them when making their rounds. The building has gotten old. We used to love the service and the quality, but for extended stays we will probably look elsewhere going forward. If you’re looking for something to get you through the night that’s affordable then it’ll be fine.
