Great choice to stay in Edinburgh. We had a great stay, but the rooms could use a refresh to make it perfect. Also the beds were not to our liking but as we were staying only one night we didn't both to ask to change the bedding.

Good hotel.
Over the years I have stayed at a few hotels in Edinburgh. This hotel ticks a lot of box’s. From location, facilities and good staff. There are things that could be better for me. I think the breakfast buffet needs a bit more attention to detail. Not everyone wants a fried breakfast. It would be nice to have variations to pick maybe something else. Like eggs Benedict, fresh kippers. However that said the burning question is ‘would I return’ and the answer is ‘Yes’ of course I would.

The price for one night was eye wateringly expensive - more than the pensioners annual heating allowance - they wanted half again to check in 2 hours early! I have never before been hassled at 8:30 on Sunday morning to be asked by housekeeping when we were leaving!
