When in Durham to visit family we always stay at the Marriot City Center. It's in a great location, rooms are comfortable and very clean and the employees are the best! Kind and helpful. It also has a comfortable lobby with lots of space to relax plus a good breakfast.

I made the drive to Durham so I could see a show at the Durham performing arts center. The Marriott is very close. The hotel itself is clean and well cared for. My room was perfect. The thing that set this experience apart from a lot of other experience I have had was the employees. Every member I interacted with from the valet when I arrived, the women at the desk, a woman I spoke with in the bar to find out where I could get something to eat because it was late. Everyone without exception was so kind to me. I could not have had a better experience. You could have the most beautiful hotel in the world and one employee could spoil your stay. The employees at this property are worth their weight and gold.

Perfect location for my trip. Guest services staff was very professional. I had to extend my stay due to Hurricane Milton and I found the staff was very accommodating. I did have an issue with the toilet in my room. The tank would not refill completely after flushing and would not shut off. Someone was sent to address the problem. Unfortunately it was a temporary fix.

GREAT
The location is the best! It is central and one could go into any direction. It is in close proximity to many local eateries and bistros. However, the rooms are clean and spacious. The physical plant itself is clean, and the decor is awesome! The bonus--the staff is very professional and friendly. Everyone I encountered asked what they could do to make our stay better. I would higly recommend this property to anyone who needs a good hotel in a safe neighborhood. Again, an excellent location!!
