Stylish and comfortable
The hotel was quiet, modern and the rooms stylishly decorated. The best thing was the comfortable bed. Being10 minutes from the station was a challenge rolling your luggage but we made it.

Wow this hotel was fantastic, very modern and comfortable. Only negative were how dimly lit the rooms were, which makes it very hard to have the right lighting to do makeup. But overall we loved our stay here. In terms of location it’s in a quiet area not far from Kyoto Station. Next time we’ll probably stay closer to Gion where most of the action seems to be.

6/10 Good

So so service, nice room though
My reservation didn’t go through when I made it the night before my arrival. When I asked the front desk for a room, she said there were no king size beds available. Only 2 twin beds for a higher price. I went online and made my reservation for a king size room. The rooms are beautifully decorated, modern with beautiful lighting.

Modern hotel nested in a quiet area. Kyoto station and shopping mall only 10min walk. First floor had a posh lobby with restaurant that offered great breakfast buffet and dinner options. Staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and had good toiletries. The only down side was the lack of an onsite laundry, there is a laundromat 5mins walk but can’t say it’s the cleanest.

Everything was good. If there is one thing to note is that breakfast is western style buffet and to my taste was a bit bland but still good and filling.

8/10 Very good

We booked this hotel for one night... and then another night...and a third. The only downside--the strong incense? scent in the lobby. I prefer subtle aromas. The hotel was tastefully designed and the staff were dedicated and very helpful. This reminded me of my college-student days--one, with a an affordable expense account.

8/10 Very good

This property was very beautiful and in a great central location. The rooms were the biggest I’ve had in Japan. The downsides were that my air conditioning wasn’t really working. When I addressed it with the staff, the reception associate came to the room, and “played with a few buttons” and told me it should be fixed. It wasn’t fixed. It was either completely broken or just the worst air conditioner I’ve seen, because it was uncomfortably hot the whole stay. Also, the staff isn’t so efficient. When I came to register early, the lady just wanted to keep reminding me that check in is at 3…but I clearly had bags that I just wanted to leave to the side which she didn’t acknowledge till I said something. When I came back to check in at a later time, I asked the gentleman at the counter about any free refill stations for water. He said “you can refill it downstairs in the bathroom”….i was confused and thought maybe there was a refill station in the bathroom, so I asked. He said no, you can just use the tap water, it’s drinkable. So I said, if it’s drinkable, wouldn’t I just be able to refill it from the sink in my room? To which he replied yes……so why not just say that from the beginning? It kinda felt like pulling teeth. But overall, the stay was an 8/10

The hotel was conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, with a handy laundry nearby. The rooms were very decent in size for Japan. The only downside was that the place was somewhat dark.

Nice hotel but every day exactly the same breakfast. This is fine if you stay for 2 nights but after 10 nights there should be more change! No milk / milk powder in the rooms. You always have to ask at reception. No body cream provided. Bar closes very early. So you cannot even have a drink after you come back from a day out. My Accor number could not be added to my booking, so I could not avail of the welcome drink either. Room size is generous for Japanese standards. All in all a good hotel with some flaws.
