Modern and Eco friendly hotel
We had a fantastic stay at the newly opened Hyatt Place Kyoto. 1. Perfect Location – The hotel is in a quiet area with a supermarket and convenience store right next door. Plus, there’s a subway station nearby, making it super easy to get around. 2. Comfortable & Thoughtful Design – The room was compact but well-designed. The lobby has a Nespresso machine, there’s a laundry room, and even a microwave available. 3. Tasty Breakfast – has everything you need, and the food was good. What made our stay extra special was the amazing staff—so friendly and helpful! They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants. A special thanks to Mr. Park and IMATA for their kindness and attention to detail. For the price, this hotel is unbeatable. We’ll definitely stay here again next time

Hyatt is the hotel to relax and enjoy in Kyoto
We love this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, room and lobby are look new/clean and smell very fresh. Located just next to Marutamachi subway line (Hotel main door is only metre away from Exit 6 of subway!), it is so easy to connect to anywhere in Kyoto. The Kyoto National Garden is only 10 mins walk from the hotel, many restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel.

Hyatt Place Kyoto is a good value but the rooms are small and was a very tight squeeze for the third person. On the metro line was a big plus but Kyoto metro is much more limited than Osaka and Tokyo.

Great location. Quiet room. Everything new and modern. The only issue was that the A/C -Heating system blows directly on the beds. And we couldn’t lower the fan speed to #1 - the lowest it would go was #2. Not good.

This hotel is right above a subway station and it is just 4 stops away from Kyoto Station. And, there are plenty of outlets for foods and convenient stores, supermarkets and pharmacies for everyday need. Lastly, it is in close proximity to quite a few places of interest.

This hotel is very well located, just above the Marutamachi station of the Karasuma line. The room (deluxe twin) is beautiful and the view from the window is a very well designed illuminated tree view. The room is quiet, spacious and clean (we had to change room twice because of a bug and then because the bathroom smelled moldy, but they accommodated us quickly). The beds are not the most comfortable, but it is to be expected in Japan. The service is very good and we will definitely be returning to this hotel next time we're in Tokyo.

This is a nice property. It’s clean and modern. It’s in walking distance to some major sights and right next to a subway station making it convenient. My biggest gripe is the laundry room situation… It’s bad. The machines were always in use and/or there was always a line. Any time of day. Whether it was 7 a.m. or midnight. We ended up paying over $100 USD to wash a couple outfits and some underwear and socks to hold us over. There needs to be a better system for the laundry or more machines. I’ve never seen anything like this.
