Not the best experience!
The rooms were super small. The drainage in the bathroom was horrible. The sink water would stay for minutes in the bowl when brushing our teeth.

La verdad me sorprendió el hotel, queda en plano centro de la ciudad pero es bastante seguro durante el día, en la noche no tanto porque hay mucha gente que duerme en las calles, pero me gusto mucho.

The good think about this hotel is in the middle of guadalajara and everything is close walking distance. Something i dont really like is the parking is an extra charge because the property do not have parking lot and thats bad. It should be in the same bill or free at least when you stay there. Is not expensive and i think the hotel could have more visitors if yoy guys cover that extra fee.

Location is great if you want to be by the cathedral, walking distance from it, you are in the Centro. Cons: Parking, there is none, you have to pay about $13USD per night to have someone take tour car somewhere to park. The instructions for this are not clear, you basically pull over on the curb at about 50 yds from hotel and hamd some guys your keys, a little sketchy. The room os small but okay for a night stay, would not recommend for more than 2 nights. Room is modern, nothing special. One negative was the lack of light, our view was into a middle space that the hotel has, where you also see people walking in the hotel, privacy is an issue for sure if you want to open blinds, also lack of natural light may drive you crazy. FYI, we booked a room with 2 "queen beds" but when we entered the room they were actually 2 "twin beds." I called reception right away and the female in reception gave me a bunch of BS that they were queen beds, she said they were "size "hotel queen" which is a total lie, I guess she thinks that people that stay in this hotel have never traveled anywhere else.I know what a Queen bed is, stayed in different countries around the world and the Queen bed is not a twin bed anywhere. Dissapointing experience, hotel needs to be clear and train teirr staff better.

I requested to have the refrigerator turned on since I am a diabetic and needed to keep my insulin cold with out any help from staff. I also made numerous calls about needing the iron and toilet seat fixed due to it moving around when on the john. Over all experience at this property was not wonderful what so ever. I would expect this service and quality from a Motel 6, but not the DoubleTree hotel chain. Never going back.

2/10 Poor

Worst experience I’ve had in a while. Upon my arrival I was told my room was “not available” even though I prepaid. I was then given a room that was smaller and told it was the same value, even though the rates listed at the counter showed a difference over 1,500 pesos. After I took it up with Expedia I was told no one could help me and I would not be refunded. I’m disappointed in Hilton for the BS and Expedia for not fighting to fix this, if not fixing it themselves. The staff disregarded me when I brought up the price difference and told me the rooms were worth the same. Such BS to be looking forward to a nice vacation only the have it start this way. The Valet parking also sucks. There is not clear indication of where to stop for valet. My first go around I missed the cutout and being able to get back was hell with all the one way streets and traffic. Worst experience ever overall. I’ll never stay at that hotel and I will think twice before booking a room through Expedia in the future.
