Good for short trip in Brugge
I stayed there for new year night and it was amazing choice. Close to all tourist destinations, close to the station and great view. Breakfast was good quality, room was clean and big enough

there is no one at the desk. we came back early one night to find our room key didn’t work. luckily an assistant manager was local and resolved the problem for our 5 rooms. but what would have happened had it been 2 A.M. Also they were suppose to get credit card info at checkout. Again, no one at the desk. I reserved 4 rooms on my card but i’m not paying for them if they are not there to run their business.

2/10 Poor

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I had experienced that room key didn't work and locked out in the evening (actually 4pm). As this hotel is only staffed during very limited hours, I tried to call to the hotel administration, but phone was almost disconnected. Finally, I was unable to contact them that day. That was extremely terrible. Please avoid staying here if possible. It is disqualifying for a hotel to be completely unreachable, even at 4pm. Terribly, the key issue had happened twice. Hotel administrators must thank me for not breaking down the door.

Excellent location I park my car in the huge underground parking with paid €15.8 for 24 hours. I booked two city view rooms both are clean and nice viewing. But one room drainage is very bad. Another problem is one room got a bath shampoo but another one room not. Seems room quality is variable.

A mixed review, but overall, good
Odd little hotel. Convenient to many eateries. It was clean but spare. The lighting was dim, and the plug sockets were inconvenient, but it was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was good and a value in Bruges. AC worked well.

Nice stay in Bruges
Very friendly service, when we checked in it was cold and they said they were fixing the heater, but we were assured it would either be fixed or they would get heaters to put in our room. But the problem was fixed when we came in for the evening. Pretty standard European breakfast and pretty good location. Parking was in the city parking lot directly below the hotel.

Easy access to train station 1 km
This hotel is well located about 1 km from the train station and easy access to all the major sites. I loved the terrasse on the roof. There was a sort of carnaval when I was there so the entire square was taken with rides and games. It was quite noisy if you were facing the square. I was facing the back and all was quiet except one 7am delivery to the bar in the back - not a problem, I just took off earlier than planned. The woman in charge is very responsive - I had 2 issues and she immediately addressed them (by immediately I mean she got up right there and then to address it) - you could not ask for better. It is mostly without a reception but the check in and check out are very smooth and can be handled via email. Breakfast was good and varied. My room was quite large given European standards and the bathroom huge, this may have been a handicap room which would explain the large space. Wifi was good and reliable. Lots of restaurants directly below the restaurant and close to a few commercial streets. I would recommend and stay here again - Brugge is beautiful and this hotel brings you to its door!

Will stay here again
Very helpful lady at checkin. Helped us find a safe location to store our bicycles overnight. Good clean rooms. We had double beds instead of twins and this was sorted with no fuss or drama. Great location.

Misleading info from hotels.com
Very lovely hotel right on one of the main squares of Bruges. Really clean and nice room, view over the square. Hotels.com was misleading in its email to me - they said there was no reception at the hotel which is wrong. There is a very good, friendly and efficient reception, right next to the cafe/brasserie which is open all day and into the night. Breakfast was very nice too.

Facility was adequate . Desk staffed only 9 to 6. Entrance poorly lighted awaiting special bulb replacement. Special document forwarded prior to my late arrival was waiting for me per arrangement with hotel rep. Short walk to town center.

A nice place to stay
The hotel staff were friendly and the location of the hotel is perfect, it’s in the centre and right next to the carpark which is perfect if you’re driving. The hotel is basic and we had a few electrical and heating problems with our room but it was nice.

GREAT
My stay was great!!! The room was spacious, clean, and has air conditioner. Breakfast is included and delicious. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself is close to everything! You can walk everywhere here or rent a bike. They let me keep my luggage at the hotel after check out so I could continue to explore before leaving town.

Unclean
Hotel is very difficult to get to. In front of a large muddy noisy construction site. My room had obviously not been cleaned. Blood in large amounts on the sheet and pillowcase. When I attempted to call the reception at 9:30 pm no one was there or answering. Really really disturbing!!

It is a pet friendly hotel, there was a dog barking the hole night. Also the breakfast room was not as clean as one would expect and the breakfast was poor on quality.

Nice, easy accessible hotel
Hotel is located 10-15 mins walking from Central Station and 10 mins to Grote Markt. Room is quite big, bathroom is almost the same size as room with bathtub. Next to my room there was a terrace with nice with on square.

good hotel, but beware the lighting
Hotel was ok- great location & really good breakfast. The problem is that all the room lights & the bathroom lights are on timers which stay on for only a couple of minutes! Bizarre and very annoying.

Nonsmoking...except for the owner in the lobby
I wish I could give this hotel a better review. So let's start with the positives. The front of the hotel faces the het zand, a square. That's nice, but we didn't expect a carnival set on the square for a few weeks. Yes, Bruges has changed from my visit 30 years ago. I had reserved a room for two people with two beds, one for my adult son. The room had two twin beds placed next to each other covered by one sheet and blanket. One of the staff promptly corrected this, and I thanked him. The bathroom (room 225) was huge and modern, a nice change from the usually cramped European bathrooms/toilets. There were plenty of wall plugs for our electronics, which was great. Now for the negatives. This is a nonsmoking hotel -- except for the blonde gal, who I think is the owner -- at the reception. Walking into the tiny lobby was like walking into a cloud of cigarette smoke. Definitely not the best first impression. I had difficulty heating the room -- just couldn't get it above a certain temperature during a string of chilly days and cold nights. No coffee maker -- big demerit. No Kleenex (facial tissue) -- another demerit. No pen and notepad. Little things, but important things. Thirty years ago -- yeah, a long time ago -- I stayed at the Hotel Portinari, just a few yards (meters) away. Beautiful place, same views. I would have reserved a room there, but that hotel is being refurbished inside and out and they're a bit behind schedule. That's the place to go, friends.
