The owner upon my arrival insisted that economy room as described in her google description (she claimed, owner) was in the basement—NO SHE DID NOT! Basement is where they used to store coal. Damp, no sun. Windows 3 feet above sidewalk. I had to pay $120 to upgrade to second floor. Obsoletely no sun, smelly. She hires illegal staff (just one to clean 12 rooms) keeps her pay one month behind so she wouldn’t escape. No compassion, SLAVE DRIVER. All she cares IS MONEY. Would not provide soap to shower. She is never there if you have any questions. Horrible reputation on the island. Her front and side are passage way for horse and buggies. I grew up on the island and have a lot friends and was surprised I ended up in her hotel. Her hotel at $37/night, I think I paid Orbitz $347 plus demanded $120 to upgrade to 2nd floor from her dungeon she claimed I purchased.For the night of August 17 she charged $57. When I asked her why she said it was holiday rate. LIE holiday rate did not start until August 20. 0n August 17 My nephew placed me at Mom hotel, right on the ocean, historical, modernized five star at/ $21 a night off holiday. With much regrets spoiled part of my holiday. ORBITZ PRICE GUARANTEE MEANT NOTHING FOR HER AND TRYING TO PLACE ME IN. HER BASEMENT where storage and maid sleep used to be coal storage. I will be glad to provide photos of basement when I return to U.S. on September 7.
