Buxton is located on Hatteras Island where there's miles of national seashore. You'll travel miles to get here, but that's part of the magic. Not your typical beach town, but if you want a great beach without a crowd, this is a place to get it.

Excellent
If you need a break and want to chill, this is the place. After you get tired of relaxing at the beach, take a short drive (3 miles) tops and find any type of restaurant you desire. Seafood is the best but you can find Mexican, pizza, etc.

"This is a great option when staying in the outer banks. It is exactly what you need out of a beach motel. It's affordable, clean, and has friendly service."
"This was a last minute stay since we did not plan on going to Outer Banks. The hotel was one of the few on the beach and located right as you enter Buxton. I chose this hotel because of prior reviews & happy that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and included a small kitchenette. There were a few eating places within walking distance & a very nice grocery store (Conner’s) a quick 3 min drive away "
"Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Breakfast was a great start for the two days we were there. The bed was very clean and super comfortable! The small dock on the sound was a bonus, I was able to get a little fishing time in. We look forward to visiting this Inn again! "
