"The Kings Head is so atmospheric - immediately upon walking in we felt at home, warm and cosy, very welcome after walking up to the 9 Standards Rigg in fog and rain.
We stayed in Room 5, which we think was either above the bar or games room area and although we were aware of the music etc, it didn’t detract from our comfort and enjoyment.
The room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable.
Fresh fruit always available on the way to our room which is a lovely touch.

"I was only there a night but used kitchen facilities shower etc all seemed clean and working. I really feel the cold so delighted to find heater in my room if I needed it. Denise was welcoming when I arrived and checked in the next morning with everyone in dining room to check things ok . "

"Fabulous hotel made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the bar on a busy Sunday lunchtime! The landlord let us check in early the room overlooked the bar garden and nice rural views! was great , was a very clean inn/hotel.Rooms were clean and had all the basics but a bit dated but it is an old building so to be expected.
Wouldnt hesitate to book again , the staff were all pleasant and polite.No faults whatsoever with our 3 days.
