"Enjoyed 3 nights here in July 2025. The location is great - a quiet spot at the head of the Teign with river and countryside views, plenty of bird life on the mud flats and reeds. It’s a short drive into Teignmouth or Sheldon and not far to other resorts such as Dawlish, Torquay, Babbacombe and Paignton.

"Booked a single night. All the staff at the beach Club were very willing and friendly. The condition of our room was excellent. The bed exceptionally comfortable. Excellent shower. We used the spa facilities, which were not very busy except for the family swim period between 4 and 6pm (but it was during school, holidays). We would recommend the included continental breakfast. There was lots of choice and quality of the food was excellent."

"We loved our stay at The Charthouse, and are so glad we got the chance to visit and explore Torquay. The location is within walking distance of the beach, the town itself, and a picturesque path suitable for dog walks (Note: If you own a dog that doesn't like other dogs, this path may not be suitable, as there are a lot of other dogs, some off lead).
Lisa & Christophe were great hosts - Lisa being a friendly welcome face each and every morning, and Christophe cooking a hearty full English...
