A+ Hotel in the Middle of All the Action
Our room was excellent with a view of the harbor (for a small markup). The suite is recommended for a family due to the separation of the bedroom and the TV/kitchen area for those with different bad times. The only drawback is parking the downtown area is difficult.

Dogs in the room next door barked for over 3 hours until owners came back to their room. Kept the kids up until 11:30pm. Couldn't make a sound without making them bark again. No parking on site so you have to walk with all your bags down the road. The thought was nice but for the price of the stay, it just wasn't really worth it. Probably won't be back.

Clean big room, with a small kitchenette (microwave, small tea-coffee maker, two sets of glasses and two cups). No utensils, no plates etc. No coffee at the counter either.

Strong perfume and B.O. smell
While our over all stay was good. My wife and i are sensiyive to smells. As we walked in to the lobby we were hit with the over powering smell of perfume and then once we got to the front desk the perfume smell was joined with a very pungent smell of body odor. While the rest of the stay we didnt smell the body odor again the purfume smell remained in the lobby and the elevator. My wife would almost immediately get a head ache whenever she encountered it.

Exceptional stay
My girls and I had an amazing stay, we were treated like royalty from the minute we walked in until we departed the hotel, the young fellow at the Desk I wish I had gotten his name upon arrival and check out was top notch and to the server in the Cannery (Aspin) was his name, the customer service is what will definitely bring us back for another girls night at your hotel, thank you so much. Birthday Getaway
Birthday getaway. We’ve stayed at The Hollis multiple times and really enjoy the hotel. We returned Friday evening and asked the lobby for one steak knife or sharper then a butter knife and we’re told no . Not a problem, we went up to the room and after an hour we realized that the room temperature did not change no matter what setting we tried. The room was very warm. Also the hotel water on the 7th floor was very cloudy. Both taps produced the same, can’t see through the glass haze. There was no smell or taste difference to be fair but it was very strange to say the least. We left a note when we left (as well as a remote with no battery life) overall the stay was good and we will be back again. Just somethings to be aware of.

Central location. There was no valet parking or underground parking. Parking was outside in a vacant lot. $25 per night. This should be noted and fully disclosed on the hotels.com app and by the hotel. The price of the downtown hotels in winter months is high and I would stay further out of the city next time.
