Aging gem with a lot of potential
The bed in my room was old and needs to be replaced. The staff and location were so pleasant and enjoyable. Unfortunately, all over the property there are little things that need attention. Dry wall with holes cuts into it (looks like something is underway...but nothing happened the three days I stayed). Rips in some carpet, scuffs, scrapes, sticker residue... All of these imperfections were minor, but it's such a beautiful property the imperfections are an injustice.

Team was amazing to find me a room late at night when my Holiday Inn left me without a room. Also the staff in the restaurant (Rene is it?) was extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was well prepared, and sometimes you can tell when the people working care about your experience being good/solid. I would love to stay here again sometime.

This review could have been avoided if the check-out clerk had asked one simple question: "How was your stay?" Instead, she only inquired about the room number I was checking out of and whether I needed a receipt. Her lack of interest in my experience was disheartening, so I let it go. I frequently stay at Double Tree hotels across the US, so I expected a standard Double Tree stay here. Unfortunately, that was not the case at all. Upon checking in and entering my room, I opened the fridge and was greeted by the sight of rust and what appeared to be black mold. I immediately called the front desk, and while they did bring another fridge up, they merely placed the new fridge next to my nightstand instead of replacing the contaminated one. To make matters worse, when I inspected the bedspread, I found a few spots that appeared to have plasma stains. Overall, this stay was far below the standard I have come to expect from Double Tree. It was an experience that left much to be desired, and I hope the hotel takes steps to address these issues for future guests.

HAD A VERY PLEASANT STAY WITH YOU. CHECK IN WAS EASY AND THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. I WAS OFFERED COFFEE EARLY IN THE AM (5AM) AS I WAS WAITING IN THE LOBBY FOR MY FRIEND. MUCH BETTER THAN THE ROOM COFFEE. NOT SURE OF THE NAME OF THE DESK PERSON AT THAT TIME. BUT GOOD JOB. ALSO HAD PLEASANT INTERACTION WITH ELIZABETH AT THE FRONT DESK DURING OUR STAY. We stayed cause we were going on a cruise. Everything was wonderful. Gods food at the restaurant. The only concern is the bathtub is very slippery. I read about this from other reviewers. Make sure you are very careful when you take a shower. Use the handicap rail. I’m not sure why Hilton has not addressed this. Seems to me it’s a lawsuit ready to happen.

Everything was nice but I was not happy that after going through the effort of checking in on line and getting a digital key so when I checked in late at night I still ended up having to go to the front desk and give my id and credit again doing exactly what I didn’t want to do. No point offering g that service and never having it work. This is not the first this has happened with Hilton
