Cute 60 theme hotel. Neighborhood felt safe. Very small parking lot. Room was clean if a touch dated in bathroom. Loved having a fridge and table and chairs to eat at.

We were rerouted to hotel Burbank in Burbank, California after already being in the room and getting settled in. There was no rollaway beds available after we were told that there was. Poor communication on the staff part.

One Nighter

Stayed for a night to walk to a venue nearby for a wedding. It was okay for what we needed but the room needs some TLC. The hotel is cute and the staff is very frienfly. The room was spacious but empty. A couch could have fit nicely. Only two pillows were given and they were flat. Definitely take towels because there's are small, thin, and rough. It was nice to have a fridge. Overall, it was okay for what we needed for the night.

Online pics are an illusion!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is very aged. The lobby had been redone and is super cute, but once you get past the lobby you see reality. Peeling wallpaper and paint, dirty carpets. Elevators are rickety, at least one outside security door was left open most of the time. There appears to be one whole wing of the hotel that is out of service. Dirty, rotting curtains in those windows. The room itself was clean but also dated, shower was a process to try to get a good temperature. Overall will not return.

Disappointed

The room was clean. However, the furnishings were hodgepodge of items from the 70s. The bed was just too old. It’s when you sat in it the bathroom head peeling paint, the vent did it work, the infrared red light didn’t work…. It was a little chilly when I was in California. There’s no heat in the bathroom. I also left the do not disturb off at the door for two days and never got my room cleaned. I totally wish I would have taken pictures.

We have come to Glendale 4 times to see our son. Every time we come we stay at Glendale Express. The rooms are always clean and the staff are very helpful. We will be back next year and will stay here again.

Good deal, close to the fun, ok for us

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to our destination, because the price was good compared to other hotels and because the reviews were mostly good. The money we saved was worth it. The negatives: It was what we expected as far as dated and not exactly spotless. We were disappointed to find that the hot tub was out of service. There were a few cobwebs along the ceiling in the room, the refillable shampoo/conditioner/shower gel containers were not all filled up (shower gel was completely empty) & we only received 2 towels even though we booked for 3 people. The positives: The staff were nice, plenty of parking-free parking, it was no problem getting more towels or getting answers to our questions, the bed and pillow were comfy and we saved over $200 compared to comparable hotels.

Not as depicted on the hotel website

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient in getting the crowd of guests to our rooms after a 20-minute wait due to an issue with the room keys. However, the rooms did not match the trendy 50s/60s boutique hotel depicted on the website. Instead, our room was in need of renovation, with old, peeling 6” wallpaper border from the 80s and outdated bathtub fixtures with bubbled and cracked chrome that caused me to cut my thumb when I turned the knob. Furthermore, we had to request additional towels since the hotel does not provide daily cleaning or bed-making services for 2 night (weekend) stays. It seemed the front lobby had undergone some renovations, paint, a bit of retro boutique decor but they stopped there. The large 6ft camel in the entrance of the lobby seems a little out of place too. The parking was great and plenty of it.
