Got ripped off!!
I tried to cancel this trip thru Hotels.com five days before check-in because my wife had 3 surgeries in 3 days and was not going anywhere. Hotels.com took no responsibility to help with this and said I would have to call the hotel itself which I did. When I spoke to them 2 days after our scheduled check-in, they told me they had no record of my reservation and would have to pursue it thru Hotels.com. I want my money back from whoever has it, either Hotels.com because they never booked the actual reservation for us or Hilton Las Vegas Cancun because they just pocketed the money and just pled ignorance to the whole thing.
