A community run Hotel. Interesting concept and clearly very important to the local community. Good continental breakfast in pleasant dining area. option for cooked breakfast (supplement) Friday and Saturday. Good range of evening meals (5 - 8 pm) Good quality and reasonably priced. Eat in the bar or the more formal dining area Room was very comfortable. Parking for 9/10 cars is plenty except if a number of non residents are present for meals or drinks. Bar well set up with good range and sensible prices

Good single room in this inn for a traveller at reasonable rate. Great basic breakfast, pay a bit extra for cooked stuff. Lovely friendly staff. I loved the bar atmosphere, a hub for locals and for Welsh singing and music-making (at weekend, when I was there, at least.) Good Celtic kind of "craic".

Clean and comfortable room. Good shower, lovely bedding. There was no remote for the tv so had to manually change channel, bedside lamp but no plug socket to use it. Breakfast was good, ample enough choice for continental.

Coming from North America and long drive to this location, it wasn't an ideal place to relax. Of course it seems they were more of a pub then actual hotel you can sleep and relax. Very noisy outside. Wouldn't recommend for a family. Staff was excellent very cooperative to handlenthe situation.

Clean room & Friendly staff Old (antic) furniture, missing pieces from bathroom, noisy fan in the bathroom. Window... that is not an window, couldn't keep the rain out, it was windy outside and inside, the window isn't fit for purpose. Everything was low quality. The owner invested a penny maybe 10 years ago in that room.

I cannot comment on the food as the kitchen was unfortunately closed when I stayed so no breakfast (which was included in the description on the Expedia website) or evening meal, which I had hoped for. Warm Room, Cool Views 🗻

I had a great stay at Y Pengwern Hotel. The room was super cozy, spotless, and had everything I needed to feel right at home - perfect for winding down after a day out. I really appreciated the extra heaters they provided—perfect if you like the room toasty and warm. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. It looked right out over the mountains, and catching the sunrise and sunset from there made the whole trip feel even more special. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, which added to the relaxed, welcoming vibe of the place. I’d happily stay there again!
