Newly refurbished bedrooms with small kitchette, large king-size bed with top quality pillows and duvets.intersting hotel bar with nice surroundings highly recommend staying here, 15 mins walk from station,

Oct 19, 2026Very good location near to the centre of town and not too far away from the station which is rather out of town. Beautiful old building and comfortable albeit compact room. Very nice staff and we loved everything apart from the breakfast - self-service and rather poor quality cold food items with little choice. It was a surprise as it didn’t chime with the rest of the hotel which lent itself towards a more upscale service so hopefully this is constructive feedback.

The breakfast was lovely but our evening meal was very disappointing as there wasn’t much left on the menu. What we did have was very bland.
The staff were very friendly and our room was lovely but did overlook people in the restaurant which was a bit invasive.

Jul 11, 2026The staff at this hotel were very helpful. The front desk was wonderful and the reception area is nice and cool and air-conditioned. The hotel restaurant had good food, although the menu was not that clear.
It is a beautiful hotel, and the restaurant is in an inner courtyard, which is very lovely.
The trade-off was that this was a little bit far from the university and the places that we wanted to be walking around. Wouldn’t have been a big deal, except the weather was very hot this week so walking took more of a toll.

Easy check in. Comfortable room 201. Breakfast good, although not always easy for the staff to manage and maintain.
2 pay points in Oz & Isle would help service.
Room 201 underfloor heating kept switching on. Bath was slippery when showering.

Jun 8, 2026Beautiful building, lovely room, clean and spacious. unfortunately the underfloor heating in the bathroom would not turn off, we had the air con on 16 in our room the entire stay however our room was still very warm and the bathroom unbearable. Reception stated this is an issue they are aware of but don’t know where the heat is coming from, maybe that room should be closed until it can be fixed.

Jun 14, 2026The hotel has only been open about 6mths. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was just like brand new. Shower was powerful.
The location is prefect for exploring Cambridge, only about 5-10 mins walk from the centre but the design of the rooms shelter you from any noise from the main road.
Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
The only disappointment was the breakfast, having pre paid for breakfast, found out they only offered a very limited cooked options (fried eggs, bacon, mushroom and tomatoes). If you wanted any of the other cooked options, they were extra.
Having said that I may have misunderstood what the pre-paided breakfast included.
Overall highly recommend this hotel. Great location, beautiful building and professional staff.
Nearly forgot to mention the relaxing and beautiful restaurant/bar area.

Dec 20, 2025Clean room a bit cosy but still very nice. Light switches electronic so lovely to look at but temperamental. Only been open 3 weeks when we arrived The staff had a few teething problems to deal but all lovely. Overall v good great location and would stay again

It’s a new venue and unfortunately they still have some teething issues . Had to get 4 different keys ,lift not working and leak in reception which unfortunately has ruined a lovely oak table.
Room was great though well laid out and had everything you needed including kettle coffee machine microwave and clothes steamer.
We would stay again

Jan 16, 2026Great check in experience. Got there before 1pm and my room was ready. The staff ran through all I needed to know about the hotel and virtually took me to my room.
The room was clean and comfortable, which had a small kitchenette. Nice to have a Nespresso machine, great touch. I had a great nights sleep in a lovely bed, what more could you want. The shower was easy to use even for me! You push a button and works! Brilliant.
The building itself is stunning, especially the restaurant/bar which has lots of history. All the staff there are so helpful and kind, I’ll be coming back that’s for sure.
I highly recommend this hotel.
