Easy drive from furano. Etc unlimited pass is definitely the way to go (it makes sense for us as we r doing a round trip from Sapporo to Asahikawa, furano, noboribetsu and beyond). Easy to find. Hotel parking was only across the street. Dinner and breakfast buffet were excellent with TOO many to choose from. Simply awesome. We played a 45-min table tennis after dinner (500 yen to rent paddles and extra set of balls). Very fun. 5 different types of hot spring to choose from. Out of the world. Nearby Jugokudani trail was a very enjoyable course with various paths to choose from. We even had hot spring foot bath in the mountain to soothe our feet in middle of our mountain trail. Can’t recommend enough.

Best place I ever stayed at

This place is fantastic! The room was big and super nice, with a view of the snowy forest. It was exceptionally clean. The highlight of the experience was the onsen. The grand bath is huge, and the views from it are incredible. Overlooking beautiful trees and hell valley from the onsens. There were 7 indoor baths for both male and female (different minerals and temperatures). And then 4 outdoor baths for females and 5 or 6 outdoor baths for males. There are also two types of sauna and cold water bath. You can sit in a hot outdoor bath, looking out at the snow and drink sake from a floating tray. The scale of the grand bath is just mind blowing. We spent hours there and really felt the benefits. Muscles got relaxed, skin felt soft and healed, circulation improved. Overall amazing! We stayed two nights and wished we could stay there longer.

So good, we cancelled a smaller trip up north and extended our stay a couple of days in a different room. Staff is helpful, plenty of dining options, and of course the onsen is awesome. Just be wary of high prices in and around the resort- this is definitely not a budget stay.

Directly situated above Hell Valley so a walk out the door took you straight into a science journal. Boardwalk and access to the further walks available in the area was a real treat. Grand Baths are amazing! So many different types of baths and not overly busy at all. Limited dining in the area but we found a fabulous shabu shabu joint right outside which ended up being the best meal of our trip. A taste sensation! Parking facilities were plentiful and excellent. Don't miss visit the Ainu Upopoy Museum in Shaori nearby. It is fabulous.

This hotel is huge, almost like Vegas. It was pricey. The onsen was amazing! The buffet dinner and breakfast were delicious! It was a good location next to Hell Valley and walking distance to the bear park.

Went in to it not knowing what to expect, and were blown away! We felt like royalty living in luxury. We didnt add the buffet dinner, luckily we could add it last minute. Our only regret was not staying longer. We stayed 1 night, shouldve stayed 2-3.

Nice LARGE hotel. We were there in the winter for the onsen. Many Chinese tourists. Buffet was good. The onsen large and nice to explore, albeit arcanish (some Roman influence 😛). Many pools to explore wide wide range in temperatures). Overall a good place to stay. The bus runs from the JR station to in front of the hotel, could be difficult with large luggage or get a taxi (about $15). One night ok. Maybe 2.

Top Choice for Noboribetsu

This hotel has the best iconic location in Noboribetsu. Parking is easy and free. All the sites are within short walking distance of this hotel. Everything exceeded expectations. The hot spring pools are 2x larger than we have ever experienced. It will take you 1 hour if you spend 2 minutes in every pool. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is out of this world delicious. Wifi is fast. Lots of dining options in the hotel itself for dinner and walking distance outside. Service is friendly. Hotel is frequently sold out 2 months in advance so book the rooms early. We are really glad we booked this hotel and able to enjoy this highly ratec onsen in Japan #6 of top 100 and this hotel is #2 best in East Japan
