Excellent hotel

The hotel was very large and had a lot of facilities. There were several pools and to a decent depth. The cleaning staff, especially Inma, were all delightful and did a great job. They even let me practice my Spanish with them! The arcade was good fun and open quite late of an evening. The breakfast was varied and well-cooked. Breakfast included is a must! You get a wrist band to show the staff what you are entitled to. One of the best things about the stay was the transport links. There's a bus stop almost immediately outside the front of the hotel (1 min walk if you want to be specific). You can get to the whole island that way.

My mum and I had a fantastic time on our winter break at Gruptoel Orquieda. The staff we encountered were wonderful and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a sea view room. There were plenty of amenities for adults available. Lots of choices at the buffet. Only improvement, could be the showerheard quality as you were unable to change its setting and it has a "fire hose spray" feel to it. The beach was so peaceful and quiet and there were plenty of sunbeds available with sea views! Overall and incredible experience!

This resort and room exceeded our expectations. Everything is great including location (unless you want to be in the busy downtown). The only problem is parking as there is no dedicated parking. Would stay again for sure!

Holiday totally ruined. Avoid!

Beware they will try to charge ridiculous made up fees for everything. Food at the restaurant is horrible and reception staff completely arrogant and unwilling to help. AC wasn't working. Only positive aspect is the view from the room. But I would definitely not come back given the arrogance and the way I was treated which ruined my whole stay.

Den blomstrande Orquidea

Hotel Orquidea har ett fantastiskt läge och är mycket omtyckt av många gäster som återkommer regelbundet. Jag är en av dem som tidigare kom med min man och nu ensam. Vi var alltid nöjda med rum, personal, måltider och underhållning. Nu var jag ensam i mars och fick ett rum på sjätte våningen med den bästa utsikten över Atlanten. Inma Bolanos som är serviceansvaring på detta plan tog hand om mig och skapade en väldigt trevligt familjär stämning. Inma är proffs, städar snabbt och nogrann i varje detalj och dessutom är mycket karismatisk. Hon gör sitt bästa att nöja gäster. Jag vill också nämna annan servicepersonal som jag träffat som Jose och Gilberto. På Orquideas restaurang kan man äta goda frukost- lunch och middagsbufeer. Kökspersonal är väldigt snäll och bemöter gäster med ett fint leende trots arbetsstress och köksvärme. Jag vill beröma Dris som tillagar äggrätter och Angelo som sköter tillagning av fiskrätter. På Orquidea finns det mycket aktiviteter både för små och stora. Jag tränar ofta på gym där Candy sköter om lokalen och trevligt bemöter människor. På kvällarna kan man avnjuta av varierande underhåll med sång, dans, flamencoshow, cirkusakrobatik och disco. Hotellets verksamhet leds bland annat av biträdande direktören Ulrica Andersson som ser till att Orquidea blomstrar på den vackra ön. Ulrica är mycket omtyckt av både gäster och hotellpersonal. På Orquidea kan man inte ha tråkigt eller vara missnöjd därför jag ger det hotellet 5 stjärnor sammanlagt.

Grande structure type hôtel club fréquenté par clientèle principalement britannique et pas mal de famille avec enfants. POSITIFS: Chambre avec plafond voûté bien pensée avec coin salon et balcon/terrasse. Salle d'eau avec douche à l'italienne. Propreté et ménage de la chambre. Personnel pro et globalement souriant. Bel espace piscine avec transats en grande quantité et un des bassins chauffé. NEGATIFS: Beaucoup de famille avec enfants en bas age donc du bruit. Pas recommandé pour ceux recherchant de la tranquillité (type Adults only) et une certaine intimité. Salle de restauration bruyante et faisant réfectoire d'école. Choix du buffet très varié mais qualité pas toujours au rdv. Impression de tourisme de masse quasi constante. Pas de véritable plage. BILAN: Même si nous avons apprécié notre logement, nous ne reviendrons pas et préférerons un établissement d'un autre type, plus petit, plus intimiste, sans enfant et à la prestation de restauration de meilleure nouveau (même si avec moins de choix).
