Give it a miss please!
In 50 years of travel i have never had to leave a hotel of any star the day after i arrived where i was planning to stay for several days.Not only was the customer service extremely poor and reception and layout both internally and externally identical to the Stephen King film "The Shining" but the rooms were tired and run down despite assurances from this rude lady at reception the hotel was full,we could see no one and all that was needed was snow and part 2 could of been filmed here.
Being late we wanted food and was greeted to darkness in the dining room with no explanation and these were subsequently turned on for us along with the a/c.
My wife told the 1 and only member of staff for whom i believe was the chef as well in this large palace hotel no chilli in the food,so of course the chilli arrives in it, and only found out when i was on the floor unable to breath with this 1 member of staff in this 300 bedroom hotel not to be seen,subsequently my wife was left ging to the kitchen running around for a bottle of water which was like a scene from BBC Fawlty Towers.
Thankfully my complaint reached hotel.com and i could get a refund. My wife became upset after the hotel added10% service charge automatically to the bill and i told them exactly what they could do with that.
We went to the Meridien leaving the Heritage manager beging us to stay.Simply my answer was not even if i had won the lottery.please oh pls keep clear and avoid!!!
No way 4 stars if lucky 2✨
