I have traveled extensively around the world, staying in hotels across various countries including the north amer, south east asia, Egypt, Emirates, Germany, Austria, France, England, Italy, and Greece. My stays are typically in establishments rated 8 and above, or 4 stars and above, ensuring high standards of service and comfort. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Hilton Vienna Waterfront was by far the worst I have encountered in this category.
Main Complaints:
1. Unresponsive Service: Despite several attempts to reach the front desk and guest services, no one answered the phone calls. It was frustrating not to have access to basic guest support during our stay.
2. Lack of Hospitality: The staff at the hotel were neither hospitable nor welcoming. There was a noticeable absence of smiles and warmth, which are fundamental to a positive guest experience.
3. No Assistance with Luggage: Upon arrival, there was no bellboy available or willing to help with our luggage. This lack of service was highly disappointing, especially from a hotel with such a rating.
4. Poor Housekeeping: The housekeeping service was extremely subpar. The room was dirty and filthy, and essential items like toilet paper were missing. It was clear that the cleaning standards were not up to par, which significantly affected the comfort of our stay.
If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would, as it didn’t even meet the basic expectations of a one-star hotel, let alone a four-star hotel.
