Hotel is great. Management of Ambar can be better
Had an unfortunate experience at restaurant where management could have been much more accommodating. I was celebrating a birthday with friends and a group of 4 more lifelong friends came by to say hi and join us. We asked to be moved to a larger, empty table and was denied, asked if they could take one of the several empty 4 tops nearby and was denied. We were told the restaurant was booked up, at 930 pm. There was no wait. These tables were never filled. Manager refused accommodations where something could have been done. Prominent El Pasoans were turned away and left with a bitter experience. Ambar is a 3 star restaurant at best trying to be elite. You don’t turn away your target market when El Paso has limited amount of individuals that can afford plaza/ambar. These individuals are prominent attorneys, judges, and city officials. If I told you their names, management would be kicking themselves right now. Now you have a bad reputation with these individuals and I will not go back or say good things.

The best!
Our 3 days could not have been better. We loved the downtown location and especially the 17th floor rooftop bar and sunset views. this is not to be missed. The Paso Robles Cab was excellent - nice hearty pour the first night. Second night we bought a bottle! Would definitely return.

Usually my stay here is quiet without any issues. 4th floor was very noisy in the middle of the night with people arguing and what sounded like security interacting both nights. Hallway smelled like there was a sewer issue with a mix bleach. I do like the property but i will definitely request a different room and floor in the future.

8/10 Very good

Amazing
The hotel was amazing. It was very clean and the staff were amazing and friendly. The only issue one of the powered black out curtains wouldn’t work. We let the hotel know multiple times but it was never fixed. Otherwise this hotel is very much worth the stay.
