We ordered a two queensize bed room, and received two small beds not wider than 50 inch. This hotel is not worth the prize. They ad a lot of charges and fees. Not even providing water in the rooms. Old fashioned coffeemaker, definitely not the modern standard. Breakfast in the restaurant additional 28 USD !

Great hotel, family friendly
Highly recommend the hotel, extensive breakfast buffet options which were great. Staff are friendly and go above and beyond with service. Hotel decor had a Christmas theme and it was very pretty. The only downside is that it’s far away from south beach however easily accessible by the citi bikes to rent. 15 mins relax bike ride will get you there

Mediocre - but thats what they are aiming for
My wife and I stayed here for 1 night as we needed a cheap overnight stay in the area. This is a mid level basic family holiday hotel which caters for a lot of people at once - so there are certain draw backs like noise, number of people, mass catering etc. Its not on par with the bigger/better hotels on the beach but has a good location and served us well. Room was massive. Shower good. Finishings a bit sterile. Not as comfortbale as we'd have liked

This is not the 1st time i stay at riu. I chose Riu beacuse even though its far from everything its a pretty property with resort like amenities. The buffet breakfast and restaurants onsite for lunch and dinner are top notch. The room had a wierd smell as if it had barely been cleaned before giving us the room. There wasn't enough beach chairs at the beach and we were all very crowded. The main reason why I am not giving a higher rating is because I feel they tried to take advange of us. I had booked for 5 nights and was only able to make it for 4. I spoke to Expedia who assured me that would be no problem as my stay had already been paid in full. Me being who i am called the hotel myself anr was advised the same. I was told there was a note in the system and I would be okay. We show up the day we said we would just to be told that there were no rooms left and our reservation had been canceled. After many hours in the lobby we were finally given a room. No compensation for the inconvenience or apologies. We were treated as if they were doing us a favor when we had already paid in advance for something they were trying to take from us. Expedia was no help either telling me it was up to the hotel when i booked and paid through them. It was a very unpleasant start to our stay for our 15 year wedding anniversary. I would have to rethink very hard if i would chose to stay there again.

Good Value
Parking was expensive but valet service was very good. Check in was quick and receptionist was attentive and helpful. Breakfast included with our stay included a variety of dishes and the service was great.
