I’m posting this review so future guests, particularly families traveling during warm weather, can make an informed decision. If reliable air conditioning and accurate listing information are important to you, this was not our experience.
I booked this property because the Hotels.com listing stated that the bedrooms (including the 2 bedroom apt we booked located in the annex building), had air conditioning.
When we arrived, neither bedroom had air conditioning. There was one air-conditioning unit in the common area, but it did not function consistently, leaving us without any working air conditioning in the property. This was especially problematic during Europe’s extreme heat wave with temperatures in the high 90s and the sun not setting until after 9pm each night, with 4 children.
We were charged a tourist tax of €7 per person rather than the €6 per person listed on Hotels.com. While the difference was small, it was another inaccuracy in the listing.
When I raised these concerns, the property acknowledged the listing incorrectly represented the air conditioning. They also said someone would inspect the non-functioning unit, but was later informed that no one would be coming. I requested a 50% refund due to the inaccurate listing and lack of the advertised amenity, but that request was declined. I then took the issue up with hotels.com, who attempted to reach the property without success.
The apt is in a great area and has much potential if they had ac as described.
