Great stay in San Fran
Four day visit to San Francisco to see the museums. Great checkin experience with lots of complementary extras thrown in to make our stay better. Decor is getting a little tired but the bed was comfy and the room large.

It was a good stay
Pro: Beautiful and modern hotel and room. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, bathroom had bright lighting, room came with a mini fridge, coffee maker with package coffee and sugar, no ice bucket was provided in the room, but they were nice to bring us a bucket with ice, USB outlets which was very convenient, and we got a beautiful view of the city on the 19th floor. Walking distance to Market St., stores and restaurants. Con: the bed sheets had stains, a water bottle was provided, but it was half drank already, no hair dryer, no ice bucket and the ice machine did not work on the 19th floor, the bathroom door does not have a lock (not a problem if it was a solo trip or a couple trip, but it was a friends trip), valet parking was $70 which was ridiculously high and it was difficult to find their valet entrance. A entrance sign or something to direct their guests would be nice.

Exceptional 10.0
My favorite hotel in San Francisco
This hotel is wonderful. It was recently remodeled and extremely comfortable in every way. I don’t think I ever slept so well in a hotel in my entire life. San Francisco is currently in the process of waking up and coming back to life after months of lockdown. The W had only reopened the day before my reservation began. Even so, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room impeccably clean and glowing! But since the opening was so recent, nothing like room service was available. But even so, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!!

I’ll make The W my go-to hotel when in The City!
Beautiful property! The rooms were fantastic and newly renovated. All staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Beds were super comfy, bathroom was nice, amenities (coffee bar, etc) were stocked with quality products. And depending on your stay all for a very affordable price but I know rates fluctuate. Overall a wonderful experience.

Jude Bell, owner Seeker Studios.
I just got the bill for my 2 rooms, room 1011 (JUDE Bell) and 1016 (Finnegan Bell) we have 1 car, and the parking is supposed to be included under room 1011– Jude Bell, but you charged 1016 for the car—WRONG. Please fix ASAP.

Comfortable bed, boutiquey, but awkward staff.
It's been a while since I last stayed at the W in San Francisco, which I have avoided because of the loud party clientele they have had in the past and pricey pet fee (we usually have our dogs with us in San Francisco) but this time we were there overnight for a wedding and I was quite comfortable and happy. The location is great, right in the SOMA next to SF MoMA, the Yerba Buena Gardens, and SF Convention Center. Our room faced a brick wall, but I appreciated its privacy and quiet. The bed was super comfortable, and I absolutely loved that they carried Davines products. Room service was tasty and quickly delivered. I think the worst part of the stay is actually the staff - don't get me wrong, they make every attempt to make you feel welcomed and comfortable, but they themselves don't seem happy or comfortable and that comes across when they interact with guests. It's just a bit ingenuine and... stiff. That said, I'd rather have a slightly awkward staff than a rude one - so I'll take it! In any case, The W will soon need a decorative update but right now the place is clean and comfortable.

Terrible front desk service.
Front desk service was terrible over the phone. 7pm night shift on a Friday night. Absolutely terrible.

Night in SF
Upon check-in we were greeted with delighted smiles. The room was nothing but spectacular and the view of the city is definitely postcard worthy. Given the location of the Hotel, we were close to everything; from the MOMA, MOAD, bars, clubs and brunch spots.

Comfortable Modern Hotel
The hotel is a modern art hotel with a friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was great, not free unless you paid in advance, but definitely worth paying for. The lobby offered hot apple cider in the morning along with coffee. The parking is tight, be prepared to pay for valet parking as there is no self parking in the city. All in all, a great experience worth the visit.
