Online booking issue
Everything was great except the fact that I booked for 2 adult and 1 child and the room does not have a bed for child and the reception was asking for extra charge for an extra roll away bed. This was not acceptable to me and never happened to me before.

Comfortable stay with a few issues
Large comfortable room in property conveniently located between Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle. Could use some renovation and maintenance, e.g. bathroom sink would not drain properly, bathroom door would not close. Maid service was basic. Some satellite channels on TV would come in and out. Still a good value for money despite some small issues.

Great stay at a great price!!
Cute boutique hotel! Easy check in procedures; pull up curb to unload, street isn’t too busy so it’s easy to pull in/out of, room and lobby and well decorated and clean. Really comfortable bed!! Good location and great bang-for-buck! Only downside, no parking. - it’s a $35 fee to park at the Ritz-Carlton across the street.

Not so good.
We found numerous stains in the room on the linen, on the little sofa, and elsewhere. There's rust in the bathroom. TV was incredibly small and of poor picture quality. One of the lamps looked like it was dragged into the room from a basement. Would not return to this place.

I stayed here one night from hotels.com and one night by calling the hotel when they didn't respond to my request through the site to extend my stay. When I arrived, I was "upgraded" to a better room- which was giant and very nice. It was on the ground level, where all the rooms around it were being renovated and had lots of people in them working with the doors open. The place had plastic everywhere and reeked of new paint. All of that would have been fine if the room didn't literally overlook a bar area. The music was POUNDING until midnight and then turned down slightly until 2 am. The first night I suffered through it before I went to work. The second night I couldn't take it and around midnight went to the front desk and got earplugs. The thing that was the most disturbing was that I stayed a Wednesday and Thursday night, so not even weekend for all of this. While the room was nice and there was a coffee machine in the lobby that was enjoyable, I wouldn't stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone who has to work during the day.
