Spectacular Harbour view

We took a suite for 4 with harbour view and we got lucky to get the highest floor so it was an exceptional room with the best view possible on the HK skyline. The gym and the pool are nice, the breakfast room also enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I regret the absence of water bottle in the room and the policy of make the room every 3 days to save money.

you guys are not the immigration

I had an issue with checking in because my booking was named under my married surname, my passport name is my maiden surname , BUT I have a valid residence ID with my married surname that matches my booking , but this check in lady insisted I need to change my booking’s name because it does not match my passport, but i was already showing her my other residence ID with the name that matches but she would not accept!!!! She insisted that the booking should match the passport???!!! First of all you are not the immigration , how can i not check in with my other valid ID??? The booking must match the name with my ID, when is a residence ID not an ID if I may ask??? why would she insist that it should match my passport??? even the credit card that I use with the booking is same with my residence ID for God’s sake

You guys must improve on your check in counters, don’t act as if you are the immigration officers ok? since when must we check in using passports only??? why are other valid IDs not acceptable during check in?? since when is that a rule??? These ladies doesn’t want to accept my residential ID to check in and insist on passport only, I dont understand.

A room with a fabulous view

We paid for a room for 3 adults and the extra bed was a camp bed ie not fit for purpose. For the cost of the room I would expect all beds to be of the same quality. I would have preferred a kettle in the room . We had a device that heated the water up but we frequently needed repeat attempts at making a drink as the water wasn’t hot enough . I think it’s a bit of a cop out to say the room won’t be cleaned more than every 3 days as part of some eco policy . Part of the pleasure of staying in a hotel is being a little bit pampered with my bed being made . I don’t necessarily want clean sheets / towels every day. Poor WiFi. Fabulous view of harbour. Fabulous breakfast. Very helpful concierge.

Property is well kept and maintained. The room service is only once every 3 days but the house staff kept everything very clean. The location is convenient and close to a lot of shops and tourist attractions. Only dissatisfaction was just around how hard the bed was and could have used one or two more pillows.
