I am requesting a refund for my stay. Due to persistent issues, I had to change rooms three times.
On the first day, I changed my room because the one assigned to me had windows that could not be opened. Additionally, the hotel used a strong air freshener, likely to mask odors. When I switched rooms, I encountered the same issue—the window could be opened, but it was cold, so I left the window open for ventilation.
The next day, after the air freshener's effect faded, I noticed a strong sewer smell from the bathroom. I wasn’t sure if it was from the room or outside, as I had opened the window. However, last night, the smell became so unbearable that I couldn’t stay in the room. I informed reception, and after inspecting the room, they confirmed the odor and moved me to a third room.
Unfortunately, the new room had the same issue—strong air fresheners masking the sewer smell. This is unacceptable, as such issues pose serious health risks. I paid significantly for this stay and feel misled about the hotel's conditions. Hotels.com should remove this hotel, as it fails to meet basic hospitality standards. They also have a responsibility to verify hotels before listing them.
Given these circumstances, I request a full refund for my stay. Please let me know how to proceed.
