A beautiful chateau, a perfect stay.
We just LOVED our stay at the chateau. The room was very clean and well appointed, the food was superb and the staff ever so kind and professional. We also were impressed with the wine tasting tour offered on the day of arrival. Very informative and the wine of very good quality.

8/10 Very good

Beautiful hotel and setting
Beautiful location and setting Good: excellent fine dining, retains many of the features of a castle from this era. Free wine tasting and visit of the cellars as guests Downs: v poor service in the bar was non existant, haD to ask at reception each time. Breakfast strictly self service in contrast to the fine dining experience. floor boards in corridor super noisy and disturbing.

6/10 Good

Very nice but not truly dog friendly.
We had our dog with us. The garden is small and the only way to eat without leaving the dog in the bedroom was to have room service. The food was excellent.

4/10 Fair

Disappointing for what could be a really lovely place. The price we paid was reflected in the very small 2nd floor room - the bedside tables completed the width of the room leaving you unable to open the wardrobe door. The bright orange fluffy cushions added nothing to the ambiance of the room, though the window did open onto a lovely countryside view. The air con in our room failed to work, despite the chambermaid trying to sort it - a electric fan was finally provided but proved ineffective in the June heatwave! We had booked for dinner in the restaurant, but were shown an outside table - our request for an inside one was not met as we were told it was full. It was simply too hot to sit out to eat - it was almost 10 minutes before we were given a menu by which time we had decided to go into the town to eat. The menu prices were very expensive but I can’t say if the food was worth it!
