Hotel Kyoto Tokyu was really handy to the station, the hotel shuttle bus from there was easy to find. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were cheerful, helpful & made the place very welcoming. The food was great, not a huge menu perhaps but everything very tasty & well presented. The room was comfortable & well supplied with electric sockets, usb points etc. Would certinly recommend this hotel to others

10/10 Exceptional

Extremely clean and quiet hotel, with quite spacious rooms for Japan. Beds were high-quality and pleasantly firm. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location is perfectly nice but not the most walkable, being about one mile from Kyoto Station and half a mile from Gojo Station. (We occasionally took a taxi, which was quick and inexpensive for those distances.) Overall, very comfortable stay and highly recommended.

Great hotel. Shuttle running every 1/2 hour to Kyoto Station starts at 8:05 am. I made good use of the shuttle to get breakfast at Kyoto Station. This hotel hosts many tour buses so breakfast in the hotel can be very crowded and sometimes has long lines, for this reason we chose not to purchase the hotel breakfast. Across the street is Royal Host restaurant which has western style food and good desserts.

Very centrally located hotel that is spacious and clean. We enjoyed the gift shop very much. The restaurant was overpriced and merely ok (tea was 1300 yen for one cup with no refill) We would definitely recommend the hotel for comfort and cleanliness
