Recommended but You Should Know a Few Things.
We liked this place but...it's a little beach funky and worn. Wouldn't mind if I was looking at the ocean but we were looking at some houses. Breakfast is meh. Staff was very friendly, and the location is close to the ocean. I lived in Rio Del Mar a long time ago, and if you didn't already know, it can be foggy and cold a lot of the time. Still beautiful, but it's not for everyone. You can head up to Seacliff and have dinner at Manuel's and ice cream at Marianne's. Enjoy!

Great location and relaxation
We’ve stayed here before and the easy access to the beach coupled with the nice pool and hot tub makes this one of our favorite places to vacation not to mention the clean rooms, comfy beds, and quiet neighborhood. The only thing that could be better is the “continental breakfast”…we expected at least some eggs and potatoes but all there was, was cereal, oats, toast and some coffee; not much else. So we decided to eat out.

Great Stay.
Wonderful place to stay! The room was clean, cozy, and smelled good. The pool and hot tub area was well maintained and welcoming. The front desk staff at check in and check out were friendly and efficient. They offer complimentary breakfast which was in a nice room that was also very clean and inviting. We will be back!

Good stay
We had a very good stay at this hotel. The town was quiet and charming, making for a peaceful and relaxing visit. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant night’s rest. However, one major disappointment was that the front office wasn’t open early, which was inconvenient for travelers like us who needed to check out or get assistance in the morning. Even more frustrating, breakfast wasn’t served until 7:30 AM, but we had to leave by 7:00 AM. Most hotels serve breakfast around 6:00 AM, so this was a real downside for early risers or those on a schedule. Despite that, everything else about the stay was great—friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a nice atmosphere. If you’re not in a hurry in the morning, this hotel is a solid choice. Otherwise, plan ahead for breakfast elsewhere.
