Pros: * the breakfast was better than expected Cons: * the bedding was terrible: the flat sheet, the duvet, the top sheet, and the bottom runner were all horrible * the water tasted funny * the shower head was mounted far too low and the pressure was abysmal * the curtains would not close completely * no high-power outlets * the toiletry products contained mint which is not the best idea * the towels were super rough/coarse * brutalists architecture of the building is an eye sore * the bathroom was a tad too small

No extra quilt, no hot water
The desk staff at the hotel are always a delight. However, because it’s been so cold, I phoned the hotel on the Friday before our stay and requested an extra comforter. The agent on the phone said that she would make a note of it for our upcoming stay. However, we did not receive an extra comforter or any mention of it when we checked in. Because I was in Cranbrook for a medical procedure, we didn’t have the time to follow up until check out. The agent was polite and apologized, but that makes me less than confident to request anything ahead of time. Also, on the first morning that we were at the hotel, we thought that we could save time and partake in the complimentary breakfast. It was terrible! The Hashbrowns and sausage were cold, and we had to get our eggs separately, which meant that the eggs were ready about five minutes later. Also, there was no hot water for tea. A woman had asked the staff person about the hot water, and yet he did not replentish the hot water in the time that we were still there. Next time we will go to Tim’s.

Our go-to, good breakfast, nice staff, clean.
This is our go-to place when we fly in from out of town late at night. Post-midnight check in was no problem, rooms in good condition. Friendly staff. Hot breakfast is available with omelettes, bacon, sausage and home fries. Good selection of breads and buns, bagels with numerous available toppings. Fresh fruit. Juice, coffee, hot chocolate etc. Only complaint would be there’s no cheese and limited common toppings available for the omelettes at breakfast, curtains in the room don’t quite cover the window (remedied by using hair clips on the window trim)

A cold night in Cranbrook
It was a cold day and night in Cran took and the heater was blasting all night. We may ask for extra blankets when we return in a couple of week! Unless it warms up outside. As always, the staff were helpful and friendly, and except for Mother Nature outside, the room was comfortable. Our favourite place to stay when we are in town!

Omelette station was the best at breakfast. Room needs renovation. Bathroom mirror and walls were dirty, as well as the carpet entering the room. Toilet did not flush properly needed a few attempts to flush everything down. Hotel had limited parking. Location was good.

Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
Hotel was rather aged. Breakfast wasn’t available until 7am. When you went in the bathroom in the dark, you cut your fingers on the sharp edges of the fasteners above and below the light switch. If you are over 6 feet tall, you need to bend at the waist to wash your hair in the shower. Curtain wasn’t large enough to cover the only window. When the furnace kicked on, it smelt as if someone had farted on the furnace filter.
