Very nice property, modern wood architecture and well designed interiors. Very quiet forest setting full of Pride of Madeira large bush/trees that were in peak bloom. Very beautiful. Comfortable lobby with view windows of the forest.
For the price the hotel provided minimal drinks and snacks/fruit

You found a hidden gem
We found this gem of a place by pure luck and I am so happy we did. We have 4 stays over the last 12 months or so.
The staff is so kind. The rooms are very comfortable. The fire pit is a must and so is a sunset hike up the hill. The grounds are fabulous for easy walks/hikes. Wild life is on point as well. Make sure to look for the foxes and deer.
The restaurant on site has great local food and cocktails. A bit pricey but I think it's worth it plus you can walk along the hillside to get there and it's a great walk back to the fire pit for the evening. We have been out there with only us and we have been out there with a crowd, both lovely!

Great front desk woman
They experience a lot of outages during the rain and they gave us a different room than booked. I didn’t love that, but what I do appreciate is this front desk woman. I really wish I could remember her name because she made our trip. She is so nice, accommodating and literally such a joy to be around. She’s brunette with straight hair and I really want to give her the credit she deserves.

A magical retreat
This place is magical. A gem hidden in the forest away from city life. And it feels lovingly crafted; every piece of decor and ambience and atmosphere and even the food selection in the mini convenience store - nothing feels random or like an afterthought. The walking trails are lovely, the outdoor seating is wonderful. The rooms and common spaces are meticulously clean and cozy. I wouldn't change a thing!
