"Room was clean but missing remote for a TV that never came. Also air felt like it went out for a bit. We had issues with the WiFi. Network went down a few times but was fixed same day. Overall nice stay, nice location. Friendly staff, restaurant was good."

"Been hear twice this yr nice clean play to stay nice bars and grill restaurants beach store walking distance on same block..great place to post up"
Marina Inn Grande Dunes Condos & Suites
"The property itself is beautiful and just to be fair I didn’t use any of the restaurants while I stayed. Check in was quick and easy. The outdoor pools and hot tubs were nice and clean. Also plenty of clean towels were available. What I thought was below standard for the price was the cleanliness and condition of the furniture and carpet within the rooms. The furniture had very visible wear and there were stains and tears on it. The carpet is older and shows significant wear. The bed was made every day but trash bins were not always cleaned, nor was the bathroom or kitchenette. The outside hall from the elevator to the room has got spiders and webs everywhere. It was like that everyday so clearly no one is walking the grounds paying attention to it. The bed was ok but the mattress also had significant wear and sagged on the side closest to kitchen and bathroom. The kitchenette was ok but the coffee maker only sort of worked if you propped the pot up with a knife under it. It would have been nice to have toaster. The staff themselves were very pleasant. They did tell me that they are getting ready to undergo major renovations. I would probably check to ensure those renovations were completed before I tried it again."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Calabash
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly months to visit Calabash are January, November, and December, when hotel prices are typically lower. For a comprehensive experience of the area's historical and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This timeframe allows you to explore family-friendly excursions, enchanting beaches, and cultural sites that offer great value for money. While prices are generally more affordable during these months, they may drop further, providing an even better opportunity for those on a budget to enjoy the rich history and culture of Calabash.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals for hotels in Calabash, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you maximize your savings. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best options. You'll be promptly notified if prices drop or rooms become available, making it easier to secure your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find more affordable options for your stay in Calabash. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it turns out to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more reasonable rate.
- Consider your location: Staying near major attractions or city centres can be convenient, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, where you can find a better balance between cost and accessibility to the places you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels a bit further out, as they are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
Best time to go to Calabash
