Heavenly Village
Heavenly Village brings mountain playground vibes to life at the base of Tahoe's legendary slopes. The gondola whisks you skyward while families laugh around the ice rink and mini golf course. Live music drifts between shops and restaurants as visitors wander stone pathways, all with snow-dusted peaks or summer's blue lake as the backdrop. Dining ranges from steakhouses to casual cafes where you can refuel after adventures. The pedestrian-friendly layout makes exploring a breeze with everything just steps away. Luxury mountain lodges and boutique hotels offer the perfect place to rest tired legs after a day of alpine fun.

Tahoe Keys
Tahoe Keys offers a dreamy waterfront escape with private docks and luxury homes lining a network of scenic canals. Lake access is the star here, with boaters gliding from their backdoors straight onto the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe. The area feels like an exclusive resort community with mountain views that'll make your Instagram followers weep with envy. Getting around requires wheels since public transit is limited in this gated community. Most visitors rent vacation homes with premium amenities like hot tubs and boat slips rather than hotels. When hunger strikes, you'll need to venture to nearby South Lake Tahoe for dining options.

Al Tahoe
Al Tahoe invites you to experience Lake Tahoe's quieter side with stunning shoreline access at El Dorado Beach and Regan Beach. Winding residential streets dotted with vacation homes and permanent residences create a peaceful retreat from South Lake Tahoe's more touristy areas. Grab your camera for spectacular sunrise views over crystal-clear alpine waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The area features casual lakeside cafes serving hearty American fare and fresh trout. Accommodation options focus on vacation rentals ranging from modest cabins to luxury lakefront properties. Getting around requires wheels as public transit is limited, but bike paths connect major attractions through pine-scented streets.

Bijou Pines
Bijou Pines offers a peaceful retreat among towering pines where visitors can experience authentic mountain living. Tree-lined streets provide the perfect backdrop for morning strolls and wildlife spotting without the tourist crowds. The nearby Campground by the Lake and surrounding forest trails beckon outdoor enthusiasts looking for natural beauty. Most vacation rentals feature cozy fireplaces, full kitchens, and spacious decks perfect for evening relaxation. While dining options are limited within the area, South Lake Tahoe's restaurants are just a short drive away. A personal vehicle is recommended for exploring Lake Tahoe's beaches and entertainment, all within 10-15 minutes.

Lakeside Park
Lakeside Park brings Lake Tahoe's legendary blue waters right to your doorstep with sandy beaches and a scenic shoreline promenade perfect for sunset strolls. The area balances natural splendour with entertainment, offering everything from paddleboarding to summer concerts against mountain backdrops. When you're ready for more action, nearby casinos and the Heavenly Gondola are just minutes away. Waterfront dining spots serve fresh trout on outdoor patios where you can watch the alpenglow paint the Sierra peaks. Accommodations range from upscale lakefront resorts to vacation rentals, all within walking distance of swimming areas and marina facilities. A car helps for mountain exploration, though the shoreline itself is wonderfully walkable.

Hotel Azure
"Location, views, convenience, pool/hot tub, clean room were best features. Very friendly staff!"
The Americana Village
"Room was clean and property was very quiet. It was within walking distance within several local businesses. My wife and I really enjoyed Basecamp Beer Garden and Three Pines Coffee while we stayed. We didn't realize the place didn't have air conditioning until after we arrived, but opening the window at night with a fan in the window helped a lot."
Quality Inn South Lake Tahoe
"Nice place, clean ,close to concert venue at Ceasars. Nice breakfast."
Station House Inn - Near Heavenly Gondola
"The regular room is small, but I have stayed here several times and I knew that. The coffee maker did not work and the refrigerator door would not latch. BUT, the onsite restaurant, Touluus(sp) is absolutely great and the onsite pool and spa and cabanas were great and had the entire pool to ourselves on one afternoon! The staff in the restaurant and bar are terrific and the owner is easy to talk to, the chef cooked out steaks to perfection and the waitress was delightful. The restaurant alone is worth staying here."
Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village
"Pretty good breakfast and very convenient."
Hilton Vacation Club Lake Tahoe Resort South
"Spacious ! Clean!"
Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa
"The location of this place is beyond perfect. The views you get of the lake from the balcony is what you pay for. The property itself is very well maintained. Clean rooms, comfortable accommodations. Will surely come back to stay here. The outdoor firepit is excellent and is a great place to sit by through the evening into night. Between the balcony, the firepit and the pool, you can have a most relaxing vacation without ever leaving the property. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby as well as a Whole Foods and a CVS."
3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club
"Great property for a family! Enjoyed our stay"
The Coachman Hotel
"Overall decent stay, though there is room for improvement. Pros: Room was clean, AC worked well, bed was comfortable. Lobby coffee was tasty, as were complimentary s’mores. Location is excellent. Pool and hot tub were nice (jets are so-so). Cons: Photos show a small dining type table and chairs, but these were not present in the room. This corner only had a weird, sad lamp in it. The nightstands were plain metal without any shelves (as shown in some photos). There was a small amount of space to set things on either side of the TV, as well as shelving and one free cabinet below it (the other had the refrigerator). The cabinet door opened one direction, and the refrigerator door opened the opposite direction, which was annoying. There is nowhere to set or hang anything in the shower whatsoever - you have to set it on the floor. When I first arrived my TV remote would turn the TV on and off and control volume, but nothing else. They sent someone to fix it, and he did appear to do so, with some effort - I was able to change channels, etc…but then later when I tried to turn the TV off, I could not. I attempted to google workarounds/ways to program the remote myself/control it with my phone…but the hotel blocks all of them, apparently. There are no recycling bins in the rooms, but there are in the parking lot."
