Would not advice a stay in the Shamrock , had to go up 3 flights of steps up to the room 36 steps. A kip . The kitchen was manky . Would not feel comfortable. Tg it was only 2 nights. I would rather sleep on the street. Never again.

No not adequate, very noisy during the night. People banging on front door during the night until someone answered the door. Room very very small. No hot water in shower both mornings. Attempt to take money out of my account 3 times even though it said pay at property. Even when i did pay at property as it said on expedia , 2 further attempts were make to take money again?????? Very unsatisfactory.

No remote for TV, shared bathroom spaces were super small and cramped. Check out process not clear. The whole house was skewed and at an angle. No mirror in room. Downstairs kitchen was really poor condition, not pictured in listing photos. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when check in process wasn’t too clear. Location was central, but it made the rooms very loud when the windows were open. No fans or air conditioning

Worst experience ever, scam and rude manager

I booked this stay last minute due to an urgent situation and when arriving at the property, the manager informed me the stay wasn’t paid for and I should pay for the stay again. I showed them the app and email confirmation as well as my card transactions showing the stay has been paid. The following morning, the same manager called me and advised if I was not providing card details over the phone to pay for the stay they would remove our belongings from the room and we couldn’t stay at the property anymore (early on a Sunday morning). I told them if the payment wasn’t showing up on their side, it was their issue to resolve and they should contact the platform if needed. The manager was the rudest person I’ve ever talked to, barely speaking English and agressive over the phone and in person. I was in contact with Hotels.com customer service and they resolved this very efficiently in only a few minutes and the manager called me to advise they would let us stay for the last night as booked and paid. They didn’t present any excuses for their behaviour when they could have simply contacted the platform and this would have been sorted in a few minutes, but they preferred shouting and being agressive with a customer. This manager needs to learn how to behave with customers as this will definitely impact their business in the long term. I think they’re trying to scam customers by making them pay multiple times for the same stay so would advise anyone to stay away from this business.

Se volete provare la particolarità di dormire in una casa con i pavimenti in pendenza, questa struttura fa al caso vostro. E' una sistemazione abbastanza economica situata vicino alla stazione del treno, ma nonostante questo la zona alla notte non è affatto rumorosa. L'auto si può parcheggiare in strada (è a senso unico, quindi sia a dx che a sx) proprio di fronte alla struttura. Il centro si raggiunge a piedi in pochi minuti. Noi ci siamo stati una sola notte e a mio avviso considerando che ci abbiamo praticamente solo dormito può andare bene. Se dovessi trascorrere più tempo a Cork sceglierei qualcosa di più comodo.

Checkin was easy enough. Building is old and floors and slanted. There is no elevator. Rooms are small and quite tight to move around in. It’s nice they have a kettle due instant coffee, sugar and creamers, and tea with ceramic mugs. Shower seems updated which was good otherwise. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work at all even though they tried fixing it. Saw the network but no internet was available. Which was a big problem since we’re visiting out of country and need it whenever we’re staying at a place to do research and such and a key factor when booking a stay. It was also stuffy in the unit. When leaving the window open, it was even louder with the outside traffic noises. You’re right at the main road. Unfortunately we did not know this.

Check in instructions were given in advance, which were clear. The room itself was on the small side, no tea or coffee making facilities but there were toiletries. Lots of fluffy towels were provided but only one hanger. The lady at the check in desk was helpful, informing me the on street parking was free overnight til 10:30am. Shame about the fire alarm which woke everyone up at 11:30pm, due to a shower with no fan on.
