Let me get the worst part out of the experience out of the way: The Riyad people tried to pull out typical scam on me when leaving. Even though whole stay was pre-paid and even though I saw receipt, the guy charged my credit card (which he somehow had access through Expedia). When I argued and made sure he understands I would take action, he finally backed off saying "his manager would pay out of his pocket for me". If you have read reviews of Marrakech riads you would have seen this exact tactic used over and over on naive tourist to scoff extra cash out of them. They tried to did this to me even after I tipped the guy $10/day. Apart from this, the riad is good place to stay but expect to leave with bad taste in your mouth.
The building is traditional courtyard based Riyad however nothing too fancy. It's clean, its functional and everything including AC works. Terrace has great view of surrounding medina however breakfast is served in courtyard. Breakfast is bread, jelly, butter, orange juice and coffee. Again basic stuff and I have had better in similarly priced other riads. One big issue is with shower which is 1/3rd open in center so expect to splash water going out and make mess. The location is OK - inside medina where cars cannot go. The car would stop about 10-15 minutes walking so if you had big bags you can either expect to sweat or take service of portor who will approach you anyway. Absolutely make sure to agree on price. Locals pay about $2.5 and tourists $5.
