Wer eine etwas aussergewöhnliche und besondere Unterkunft sucht ist hier richtig.
Es ist ein alter Turm aus dem 12 Jahrhundert, welcher aufwendig saniert wurde. Es gibt nur 5 Zimmer, pro Etage eines, die Zimmer sind klein, aber gut eingerichtet. Zuoberst auf der Dachterrasse darf man frühstücken oder einen Apero geniessen mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Römer Altstadt (Treppen Steigen und Schwindelfreiheit erforderlich)
Man wird von der charmanten Gastgeber Familie persönlich begrüsst und mit guten Tipps ausgerüstet.
Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man das Besondere sucht.

Great location. The bathroom needed some updating, and a little more diversity in the breakfast would have been nice. The owner and workers were very welcoming and willing to assist in any needs. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here!

Friendly Historic Boutique Hotel in good location
Overall, the hotel was fine and location convenient. The air condition certainly struggled to keep up with the heat wave and is not controllable by the guests.
The shuttle service to the airport was 45 euro and the room tax was higher than posted on Hotels.com and is required to be paid in cash which was an inconvenience when it was the tail end of our trip before heading back to the USA so had to go find a final ATM.

Amazing! Alvin is extremely kind and accommodating!
The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the jacuzzi bath, as well as the gorgeous view of Piazza Venezia from the rooftop terrace. The location is central and only a 10 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum.
The best part for us was we were able to drop our bags off a few hours before check-in. When we returned, our bags had been brought to our room already. We checked out the next morning, however our flight wasn’t until 8pm. It was raining and Alvin let us relax upstairs in the loft/breakfast area and called us a taxi when we were ready to go. Thank you so much for that extra kindness, it made our last night and day in Rome that much better.
We will definitely stay here the next time we go to Rome, and you should stay here when you go to Rome!

This amazing, 800+ year old former watchtower is a charming B&B type property with just five rooms, each on its own floor. The bathroom was as modern as any I’ve seen, the bet was comfortable, and the service amazing. Alvin is a true gem!

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at the Residenza Torre Colonna and had a wonderful stay. This unique property is ideally located for visiting all of the major sites. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was great. Thank you Alvin for the great daily breakfast and hospitality, we enjoyed spending the week with you. Thanks also to Manuela for all of her suggestions on how to get around town, you made us feel right a home. We hope visit again someday and would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Rome.

Staying in a medivial tower
Very nice, little hotel (they have just 5 rooms, every floor is one room and they seem all a bit different arranged). The rooms are smaller than they look on the pictures and so are the beds, but in general a very nice and clean place. Bathroom had a bit of smell due to insufficient ventilation in this ancient building, so we kept the door open and got some fresh air in, but at the end, when you stay at Torre Colonna, you stay in a tower from 1247, a place with a lot of history.
Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast (more than expected from a continental breakfast). Street noise is a bit of an issue, the window to the main road had good sound proof, but the window to the side street hasn't. And there are a lot of ambulances passing with their sirens on.
The location is excellent, close to attractions like the Colosseum, the Monti district, or Piazza Navonna, and to shopping streets.
All in all a very special and nice place, if you like the sense of history around and don't mind about the limited space.

Fantastic Rome Experience
We loved staying here. It was close to everything, the bed was very comfortable, the history of the building was fascinating and the staff were brilliant. After arriving from 40 hrs of travel, Alvin gave us breakfast and access to a bathroom to freshen up which was so appreciated. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful and the room layout was really good; a walk-in closet and generous bathroom.
The view from the rooftop is absolutely beautiful too, not to be missed. Thanks for a great stay- we’ll be back!

The staff is amazing. The furnishings are great and beds are comfy. Location can’t be beat. The rooftop terrace was an added bonus. I felt the it could have been decorated a little nicer. That’s the only thing I thought might make it perfect.

A very interesting hotel because it was an 800 yr old watchtower. Come with an open mind and a sense of adventure! Spacious room which is rare in Rome. Great location and rooftop view. The breakfast was one of the best - fresh orange juice, pastries, quality fresh fruit, mozzarella, good tomatoes etc

Unique hotel in the historical district of Rome
We had a fantastic time in this medieval hotel which has been completely renovated. The most unique feature was the rooftop terrace which we used everyday, providing magnificent views of Rome! We couldn't believe that we could even see St. Peter's dome every evening with a colorful sunset in the background. The staff were helpful and courteous assisting us even after check-out! Fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of Rome!

Incredible place to stay to explore Rome
The location was perfect, being in the centre of Rome enabling us to walk to all major historical sites. Could not fault the staff, who were incredibly helpful. When we return to Rome this will be our first point of call for accommodation.

Great location and terrific staff!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay recently at the Residenza Torre Colonna. The two things that really stood out were its location and the service. The hotel is ideally located several blocks from the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and the Plaza Venezia, and perhaps a 15-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and other sights. As for the service, it was topnotch. From arrival to checkout, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and they seemed to genuinely care that our Roman holiday was a memorable one. Oh, and the breakfast each day was great as well! The only issues were the street noise--we were on the first floor, so we were often serenaded by Rome's continuous chorus of motors and sirens--and some minor issues with the A/C (hence my slightly lower scores for comfort and condition). However, these were not nearly significant enough to detract from our otherwise excellent experience. So, I certainly recommend the Residenza Torre Colonna for your trip to Rome!
