Exceptional 10.0
The hotel is located in the back of a small yard, which keeps the noise from the street totally filtered out. We slept with open windows and it was very pleasant at the beginning of June. The location is perfect for all sorts of activities and the personnel went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. The only issue I had was the breakfast. The breakfast is a buffet type and one is asked to eat on the room. However, we did not have enough space for a really comfortable breakfast for three (for two it is not a problem). Still, we did not need to eat a lot since the most amazing lunches and dinners were waiting for us outside on the streets of Rome. I would go back and stay with them again, without further thinking. Clear recommendation!

Quiet B&B with good connection to train station
Lovely B&B on the top floor of a big building complex. Reception was lovely and welcoming. Once inside the building it's nicely maintained. The old elevator a novelty. The room was quiet overlooking the inner courtyard. It's a short walk from the main train station and good staring point to see the main attractions of Rome. Breakfast was sparse and it's self serve 24/7 (or whatever is leftover of the fresh cake each morning). Bathroom is getting old and room is a little small and overall I'd stay there again.

Quiet, Safe, Clean and Simple
Amaranto Romano, doesn't have a hotel feel at all. It's more like a boarding house. You need coffee, you make coffee. You want to have a snack, you get a snack. The front desk people are super helpful. it is a bit of an Odyssey to get to the hotel. Through a big door. Then a gate. Then up the tiny elevator to the top floor. But it is the most quiet place I have ever stayed in old Rome. And in easy walking distance of the Termini Train Station.

Great place. First up gets breakfast.
The accomodation was very nice. Rooms are very clean and bright and the staff were lovely. The description wasn't quite accurate though. Our room was described as 'Courtyard View' . There is in fact no real courtyard. The fountain in the photo is outside the interior entrance to the building and our view was in fact a look out on a glass roof below. Breakfast was disappointing. Other reviews say that having snacks available all day is convenient. It isn't when the cupboards aren't restocked. If you're not the first up in the morning, there's very little left to eat. I'd suggest breakfast on a tray on each room. At least that way you're guaranteed something. We ate breakfast out every day. Apart from that, it's a great place - very secure and very central. There's even an Irish bar opposite which is open late if you fancy a nightcap. All in all a great stay. Just dont count on breakfast.
