Kelo-Glass Igloo was fantastic!

Fantastic resort! Only one restaurant was open and the food wasn’t great (it was fine, just not great) but everything else made up for it. We stayed in a lovely Kelo-Glass igloo and absolutely loved it. The activities were fun—best were snowmobile, dog sledding and feeding the reindeer.

Stay on the west side!

When we arrived we found that we had booked the east side igloos that have to shower facilities & a long walk through the snow to get to a shared shower room. This was not what we were expecting for such expensive accommodation! Luckily we got help from a great guy named Anastasios who got us into the west side of the property with an upgrade to an igloo with great facilities, where we saw the northern lights! Thank you so much Anastasios for saving our bucket list trip from being a disaster! You have great understanding & very helpful customer service skills! The resort is much better in the west side…east side I would rate not much higher than back packer accommodation at a ridiculous price! The food could be better too for the price!

Serene Arctic Escape

An excellent resort with beautiful, cozy cottages that keep you warm even in extreme temperatures as low as -30°C. The entire experience was very well organized, and the in-room firewood setup is a must-try for a charming and authentic touch. The food is thoughtfully curated, with great consideration for vegetarians, which was a pleasant surprise. Do note that the resort is in the middle of nowhere, offering unparalleled tranquility — but that also means you should carry some snacks for your room. Stepping out in harsh weather conditions requires caution. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene Arctic escape!

We had booked the west village chalet and west village igloo for one day each.Though expensive but we felt it was one of a kind experience. The chalet was clean, cosy, spacious and had finnish sauna .There was also a fireplace but you had to pay extra for firewood which we felt could have been included in the price .The igloo was also pretty with bathroom and finnish sauna. You need a shuttle bus to go to bus stop near East village which is free but needs to be coordinated with the reception in advance. Also the lugguage transfer was included which was great considering it was snowing when we arrived. The breafast and dinner was included , the options for breakfast are limited but manageable. The 3 course meal for dinner we opted for Indian menu which turned out good considering the location though the portion was small. We did the reindeer safari here and it was managed well. The staff we encountered throughout our stay were very polite, friendly and accomodating.

In my igloo there was water driping directly on my bed . When i checked in that time around 5:51 igloo was cold i called up at the reception that how can be it be warm v feeling very cold but no one came. An than water dripping directly on my pillow i n my husband slept on one side that means on one single bed I am really upset with it we had very bad experiences as we spend so much to experiences the igloo stay an that was so bad we couldnt sleep whole night. You all shd take proper maintaneances of the property. We have travel from india to experience igloo stay but unfortunately v had very bad experience un this super cold winter dripping from igloo directly on are head its so bad . I have also shared video of water dripping to your manager i really need a compensation for this on priority.

My fiancé and I just stayed one night in one of the West Village igloos and we couldn’t have been happier. From start to finish everything was absolutely incredible! The ladies in reception were lovely, and extremely helpful and informative. The igloo exceeded all of our expectations. After reading a number of reviews with negatives, I have to say I couldn’t possibly disagree more. It’s enchanting. The workers are friendly. The food was fantastic. The igloo clean and so unique!! It was a once in a lifetime experience that I hope to do again.

What a magical experience.. we love the East village,, it’s quiet and the staff are super friendly and helpful.. from beginning to end we were satisfied with the service, food in the dining area, the bell boy service.. the excursions are in the west side but we love East side more.. we saw the Aurora 3 nights of our 4 nights stay .. and yes their aurora alarm works.. we came here not for the convenience but for the REAL igloo experience and we are glad we did it.. thank you,, our winter vacation was perfect

West village is really a beautiful and extraordinary place. The entire property is wonderful. East village has a different character. It’s also charming but not as grand and open space as the west village. The igloos in the west village are gorgeous. If you want to see the northern lights, it’s highly recommended to stay in an igloo. We also stayed in a chalet but had to come out to check the northern lights. Unfortunately, the northern lights tracker in our room didn’t go off when northern lights appeared but saw it when you look up to the sky in the igloo.

4/10 Fair

Overpriced, overrated, overcrowded, understaffed. At peak holiday times this property is just too large to be able to keep a good quality of service. Staff is overstretched and exhausted having to deal with unruly and noisy groups. I would not recommend a stay there to solo travellers or couples. The location is nice but transport to the nearby village is limited and expensive (100 euros return for a 15 km ride!). The menu fixe restaurant has only three choices, two of which Indian (why??). Activities are ok but not well explained at booking: we discovered that a two hour “adventure” actually lasts only 30 minutes as the rest of the time includes transport, dressing up with warmer clothes (included in the price) and explanations/ instructions. Cabins are nice and well heated and they have a private sauna. They have a kitchenette but unless you bring your own food they are useless given the cost of reaching the closest supermarket. At 800 dollars a night we were expecting something with better facilities and service. This resort has neither.

6/10 Good

I wish things were better

It was a one time event to stay at the glass igloo, we anticipated the weather to be cold but it was unbearable, everyone had to walk back and forth to their cabins/igloo, if they could have offered any shuttle service, it would have been much better. We could not check till 3:15 pm when there check in time was 2pm. We had to contact them multiple times, finally a different very nice receptionist offered us a different igloo which was an upgrade. We were thankful for the upgrade. After reaching our igloo, there was no thermostat and the igloo was extremely cold. We couldn’t reach the front desk so had to walk back in the extreme cold to get someone to fix the heat. The front desk said they were extremely busy and therefore couldn’t respond to the WhatsApp messages. Finally when we back to the igloo, the maintenance guy had increased the heat. We lost our whole evening due to the factors above. This is nothing to do with the resort but we didn’t have any northern lights sighting, of course that was our own luck! We booked our ride back with the resort management, it was 15 minutes late too! Suggestions for the resort management: 1. Increase front desk staff specifically in busy season 2. Provide a shuttle service ( it won’t cost you too much but make the life much easier for your customers)

Outstanding and memorable stay. Great adventures, northern lights and family fun. Food options were limited, especially for dinner and the service ended at 9pm, which didn’t work when we were out on a husky adventure and missed out. BUT, the husky adventure was AMAZING! Overall, an incredible stay!
